You say a lot of asinine things, but I think this old saying of yours takes the cake.
Tell that to Eli Williams or Keiwan Ratliff.

There is a reason Trailerbammer doesnt take 5 or 6 Dbs every fvkkng year and we do. Nobody wants those kids so its easy to get another commit when we can do anything elae.

Ratliff also played DB in high school. Even if he hadn't, that's 2 examples lol. Can you please list some more successful converts from WR to DB?

Ahmad Black was a 4*. DBU was built on 4-5* talent . CJ Williams type kids make up most of our current secondary. According to 247

McWilliams 3*
Linton 3*
Edwards 3*
Burnett 3*
Deontai 3*
Russell 3*
Putu 2-3*
Davis 3*
Stiner 3*
Wilson 3*
D. Wilson 3*.
One more 3 star DB will fix it. Trust us.

Now go look at the list of Dbs we've signed over the last five years and tell me how many were worth the cost of a protein shake.

Every fvkking WR alsi played DB in high school. I just showed two of our players who became All SEC and NFL corners. There are dozens more from OUR team back when we had a championship coach. There are thousands of other examples.

There are also plenty of examples of WRs transferring once the get moved to DB, which is alsoa positive outcome. Its absurd to have 15-20 WRs and 15 DBs on the damn team and not enough heavies to have a second team DT without moving Riles back to DT (after we first had to move him from DT to G earlier because of PISS POOR roster management).

DB is one of the easiest positions on the field to play and freshman or first year WR transitions often have no trouble with it.

The fact that we might be starting a freshman this year is just further evidence that 12 shytty 3 star DBs we have werent worth signing unless we have a real shortage.

I agree with this. Other than a couple top-flight DB, I would rather convert players. Hell, even some of our best DBs didn't focus on DB in high school.

Elam played running back. I think Haden played quarterback. I think CJ Henderson, who we brought in last year's class, played running back as well.

Two cornerbacks who really stand out for me as playing that position in high school are Janoris Jenkins and Vernon Hargraves.

I just wanted examples and yet I only got 2 so far for our long history (1 who played DB in HS). You don't just take a guy who played WR and stick him at DB like it's nothing. Clowns tried that with Ermon and look how that's working out

All 3 also played DB as well (which is why they were projected as DBs during their recruitment).

Just throwing guys at DB who were pure WRs and failed is foolish IMO.

Well I wouldn't say just throwing any wide receiver at DB. You should definitely recruit elite DBs. I'm just saying there's no reason to take a chance on inferior talent. It's one of those positions where you can plug other people in if needed.

Not as your top tier starter.

No disagreement here. I just don't think you can take a WR who has never played DB and in their 2nd or 3rd year convert him to DB.

If it was that easy, then why couldn't a freshman like Marco Wilson who has played DB throughout high school step in as a freshman :dunno: Law shouldn't be worried if that's the case...

"Does" or "did?" Big difference. He did it once out of necessity.

That's an outlier, not the norm AT ALL. You don't like the 3 star argument when somebody uses an outlier, right?

Im worried about not having nearly enough heavies.

We landed the following DBs:
2017 6
2016 6
2015 3
2014 4

Bammer has landed:
2017 3
2016 3
2015 5
2014 3

Which formula makes you a champion and which one makes you DBU? And which one still has freshmen playing while piles of useless three stars standing on the sideline doing nothing for 4 or 5 years?

And we are on track for 6 DBs again this year.

Most of you pumpers will be blaming "injuries" and "they just got tired" for this years blowouts just like the past few years.

Fvkk DB Blowout U.

I agree we need to focus our efforts more towards DL but that wasn't the argument or discussion really. But hey, at least we agree on something

It is in the discussion, toolbag. Every time we grab another six pack of shytty DBs we don't have enough schollies for DL.

Fvkk DBU.

Your logic about converting WRs is flawed so
I pointed it out. Carry on...

Can't handle a healthy debate with no namecalling, huh? Maybe mommy coddled you too much growing up

Also, the next time you admit you're wrong will probably be the first :)

Didn't we have a converted WR start for us in 2006? Haden was supposed to play WR for us. Dunbar should've been moved while here.

What name did I call you? Merely asking questions based on observations.
