Another positive on Corral is since he committed, he's been selling the program. We need a leader and a guy with a sense of commitment. I won't relax until he EE's but with as much as he is putting out for the program, he looks pretty solid.

I read in a CBS article that Corral liked the fact that he could come in here and compete in '18....but what if Zaire gets the 6th year and plays well for us this year, will that make Corral second guess his decision?
Honestly, I dont think a top QB would be afraid of any QB on our roster. I know Im not impressed by any of them so far.

@WillMilesSEC: Corral's junior year: 64.3% comp, 12.9 ypa. 5.7 yard/carry. Real deal, not just a big arm. #GatorNation

Thanks to whoever changed the title of this thread. Welcome, indeed! Sounds like he's shutting it down and taking NO MORE visits, but I admit I'll breathe easier once he signs or is EE.

Go Gators!!!

Let's just hope beano cook doesn't give Corral a ron pawlus 2-heisman prediction. Oh wait, we're not nd... is that guy still alive?
Beano Cook... that's AWESOME! I don't know why it's making me chuckle so much, probably the "still alive?" part.

Well, me. I like Jake and he is a true gator. He did his best to recruit for us and he really wants to play here. I respect him and others like him.
If he is a Gator he will stay and try to win the spot. Or be ready if the guy or guys in front get injured. If not, enjoy your time at Alabama State. He is currently probably the fifth string QB. I'm sure he knows that. At some point, we will lose some of the 3rd-6th string Qbs.

Wait, you're saying he can't move ahead of Trask on the depth chart???

I'd say right now I'd guess the depth chart is probably
Zaire
LDR (if healthy)
Franks
Toney* (packages for when Zaire isn't on the field or they don't want to risk Zaire running)
Trask
Allen (R)

Franks will battle for the job next year if he improves. LDR isn't going anywhere. Trask can't go anywhere.

Allen strikes me as the type who'll compete. I think he'll pass Franks and Trask before the 2018 season. I think he'll just outwork them. Corral being an EE is huge.
