Different than original story, actual CC theft

How stupid are they to think in this era they can get away with that?

I'm honestly not really surprised that some of these kids are criminals.

However, I am shocked by how monumentally stupid their scam was.

If Telfort's nickname isn't "Snacks" right now I'm going to be thoroughly disappointed.

Please spell it out for us. What's going on? What's stage 2? Stage 3?
As I understand it there are 3 groups.
1. the guys who in addition to buying stolen cc numbers and loaded it onto their gator1 cards, also just got other fake cards and used them. i havent heard if this is just smith or not.
2. those who used the stolen cards to load their gator1 card.
3. those who reported fator1 cards lost and stolen and received new cards with more money on it. this may be two groups, those who falsely denied making the previous card charges and those who didnt and just didnt correct the error when they noticed they had a full balance on the new cards

There may be a few other hijinks found secondary to this investigation, but the first three groups will cover most.

There is not likely to be a boss or lead conspirator as some have said with regard to the stolen numbers. Without trying to inspire anyone else, there are ways to buy these card numbers. As i said south florida is a hot spot so it is no coincidence this is who is involved in the first.

Here comes the "national #FakeNews media" trying to stir up more controversy :eek3:

There is nothing fakenewsish about that unfortunately other than the guy obviously not getting schooled on the intricacies of criminal law by 2222.

Well the State attorney already said 7 of the 9 will in all likelihood enter a pretrial diversion program and ultimately only have misdemeanors on their record....so yeah this is serious enough for the feds lol

No, he didnt say that (also diversion leaves you w no convictions) and, most importantly, nothing the state does binds the feds. Feds take credit card cases every day.

Why don't you just stick with basketball, mmmkay? Im sure you dont have much fed court time.

I know that story isn't #Fakenews...i was just being a smarta$$ about the national media as a whole ;)

If the feds pick up on this 1 or 2 of these boys going to prison!

I heard the Senate Judicary Committee will be opening an investigation as well. Cant wait for Mac to testify on the Hill.

Seriously, WTF are the Feds doing in the Northern District (or wherever you are) taking $2000 credit card fraud cases everyday?

It is a conspiracy case w 5 currently known defendants and a total of 12k or whatever at this point.

Most importantly it is both VERY HIGH PROFILE and VERY EASY.

They generally take the beginnings of a case like this and work their way up to the people selling the card numbers.

By the way I'm not predicting they do it, I'm just saying it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

Did I mention it is both VERY HIGH PROFILE and VERY EASY.
