I got curious and it seems Frost went to Nebraska and I assume played there. So perhaps he wants to return, or they want him since he is theirs?

They will come after him, UF needs to get to him first, he'll then them down for a better job.

Because he's not insane? This isn't agreeing to split the check evenly even though you just had an app and everyone else had the surf and turf and 3 bottles of wine.

No one in their right mind is going to say. "you know that 12 million dollars you owe me? Lets just call it even, no hard feelings". We're either going to have to play hardball and say we aren't paying you a cent based on cause (which is going to be a real bad look, and not help in the next hire) or more likely strike a deal paying him maybe half of what our short-sited administration agreed to.
Can't have his cake and eat it too.

The fact that we're 72 hours away from what many consider to be the most important game of each season, and instead of him being laser focused on his team and gameplan, he's having multiple closed door meetings to handle an issue that was entirely self inflicted, should absolutely be grounds for dismissal. Our players, school, and fans deserve so much better than this.

THIS!!! Sofla, you nailed it! He should have been fired by now. Give Shannon the interim title, and move on.

Not much there...a guy who has family with "names on athletic things" gives an update about a dinner he had with them and they talked about the situation. Stricklin has 4 names on his list (Mullen, Frost, Babers, Norvell) and it's beat fsu or else anything could happen.

It was a lot longer than that but a bunch of nothing worth mentioning other than a lot of people in the UAA don't like butters all that much and butters dislikes the media here. Butters thinks he deserves more time because he should get credit for the facilities moving forward and his recruiting suffered early because of that.

Edit: forgot the part about calloway...boosters blame him for not cutting him earlier and they believe the suspensions probably don't happen if he is kicked off the team.

That's a really depressing list so it's probably right. Look to land Coach Norvell Who? And saying here we go again 6 games into next season.

THE DUDE: you said:

I totally agree...seems that Calloway has been the instigator (pun intended) from day one...that falls at Butter's feet.

Great, sounds like Stricklin is still supporting Mac.
You guys do realize that Mac has finally gotten a clue and dug himself part way out of this dung pile he stepped in:

I'm sure the staff's laser focus over the last two days will show up on the field.

I imagine Stricklin is bite nails livid. But Mac has now made a sorry I was stupid statement. I don't think stupid is a legitimate reason to fire for cause.

Edit: I agree with MJM. First trip to the principal (actually the second after he stone walled) he was told to fix it. He promptly made it worse. Next trip to the principal's office, probably the third, they had to tell him exactly what the hell to say. I wouldn't be surprised if he was forced to rehearse it.

Or....his agent got him in touch with reality.

This guy is not the brightest bulb in the box. In fact his filament is burned out.
