If you aren’t winning sec championships here in 2 years fans want you gone.

High expectations yes. I dont believe the 2 year thing is absolute. Show us promise in games and improvements on the field to include creative play calling and we can be optimistic.

That's still not a compelling answer to why he stays. Esp if he has UF on his radar.

UCF may offer him 3+ mill a year and he can stay as long as he wants whether he loses 0 games or 6 games. Then if dream job comes along at Nebraska he can go there.

It really depends on how ambitious he is vs seeking balance for his young family. There has been incredible drama around UF coaching position over past 17 years.

Not only do you need to win championships if you don’t you need to win with lots of flair. One season after going 11-2 fans wanted muschamp gone. Fans wanted McElwain gone even after 2 years of sec east titles. Yes I understand the east sucked. But the probability of failure at UF is very high.

Well, to be fair, they both suck.

We were a dumpster fire on offense in Muschamp's 11-2 season and in both of Mac's East-winning seasons. The fans had every right to be restless.

If we get into the first week of December with no announcement than it’s obviously not Kelly. I’m really hoping for one this week. Kelly would be a home run hire for sure.

If we get into the middle of next week you’ll know Kelly won’t be the Man. Of course some of us already know he’s not.

The fans are always restless and think they are entitled by birthright to national championships every 3-4 years.

There is drama surrounding any Power 5 coaching situation. It's a matter of how much he values the opportunity to move on to a glamour Power 5 position in the SEC at a highly escalated salary.

Are you talking about UF fans or fans in general? If this was a swipe at UF fans, I think this statement is total BS.

Its complete BS and a total copout. Fans just want to see continued improvement and a reason to believe their team has a shot at greatness. We got none of that with Chump and Butters.

and a fun game. Both chump and butters delivered a dull brand of football.

Couldn't have worded this any better. The record was never a sticking point with me. I understood this team was not ready to compete for a national championship. We just wanted to see improvement over the previous years.

I think UF fans are among the worst in this respect. We have become spoiled with success. Alabama fans are even worse. There are a few other programs at that level. But not many.

I fully expect if Kirby smart were the UF coach and we get spanked by auburn and lose to Bama and end with 2 losses at the end of the second year most fans would be calling for his head too.

You forget there were some UF fans who weren’t unhappy to see spurrier go because of his mixed results with FSU and Miami and the fact that spurrier didn’t personally relish recruiting. Many were happy to see Meyer gone after that mediocre last season
