Of course it is truly accurate:

1. The Donkey always expects UF to do poorly.

2. Option offense involves decision, hand offs or not and pitches under press, so of course it can be a higher turnover offense than a straight hand off or quick pitch rushing offense.

But just because Donkey accurately described his feelings, you do not need to adopt the same view point. And how well UF runs the option remains to be seen.

This talk of the option, and the qualities required in a QB to run it well, reminds me of one of the best option QBs that no one ever talks about anymore - the great Don Gaffney. He was a magician with the ball. Many's the time I saw him take a big hit an instant after pitching to the trailing back, who was then sprung for a big play by the artful deception. Or, perform a masterful fake on a pitch/hand-off and then find an open receiver down field with a perfectly thrown pass. Oh, and Don could run it too. Obviously, I don't hate the option in theory. We terrorized CFB for 3 years with DM's specific brand of it. I do however, like yon braying ass, harbor severe doubts about the "talent" we have on hand being able to run it effectively.

I've bashed Franks' for his apparent inability to read defenses or to "think on his feet" so many times it isn't fun anymore. So, I'm joining the pumper brigade, at least for now, and will go into this season ready to be pleasantly surprised - or confirmed in my worst fears. Whatever unfolds in the coming months, I will exult with them when they win, languish with them when they lose, and pray for the progress on offense we have all been looking for. I don't believe at this point that we are going to be world-beaters any time soon - we just don't have the roster for that, and wishing won't make it so. But I do believe that whatever DM's deficiencies may eventually prove to be, he is a huge improvement over the waste of skin that recently departed the scene - that goes for the Prince of Fools who preceded him as well. At this stage, incremental improvement will have to suffice. Let the games begin and GO GATORS!

Maybe not, but my information set would not include some Donkey predictable moaning.

I got to go to my cousins wedding at 5:30 on game day, hoping to get out of it with my wife being 37 weeks pregnant, but hell no she's put in to go. Hopefully I'll be back by the 2nd quarter.

Zone read plays are literally normal handoffs unless the QB pulls it. We will destroy Charleston Southern. They suck.

Well as fate would have it, the doctor today put her on bed rest due to her blood pressure being borderline high. So I have my out now for the wedding, now if our daughter will conviently come during the week, I won’t have to miss any Florida games. Lol

Depends entirely upon your financial situation. If you can spend the 3k without any financial stress then.....yes by all means head to the Swamp. You will have a great weekend with 90k friends. The Swamp will be electric with Tebow ceremony and the avenue will be hoppin’.

All I know is, if we can make it through this game without running the ball on 2nd & 10 after an incomplete pass, running a sweep/stretch play to the short side of the field, or having two receivers run right next to each other in the route tree, we may be on the right track.

Are play action passes on third and long still acceptable?

All evidence that Butters N Nuss were genius OCs.
