Isn't the sugar bowl for the top available sec and big12 schools outside the playoffs? If that's the case, uga could end up playing wvu ,correct?

Possibly - If Oklahoma wins and is kept in front of OSU it will be who the committee keeps higher out of WV and Texas.

For the people wanting us to avoid Michigan I think the worst outcomes Saturday would be Oklahoma winning and making the playoff and UCF losing to Memphis. In that scenario I think the committee would keep the Boise State/Fresno State winner out west in the Fiesta Bowl and would be much more likely to have them playing LSU there while having us and Michigan in the Peach Bowl.

I think you are 100 percent correct on this. I don't see UCF winning this weekend against Memphis without Milton, so the Boise State/Fresno State winner is going to be in one of the NY6 games. As much as it pains me to say it, we need to be rooting for OSU to claim the final playoff slot.

As much as the Gators have improved this year, I can't see our offense being able to generate many points vs Michigan's top ranked defense. Granted I think their defensive stats have been helped by playing in the Big 10, and they were just torched by Ohio State. The problem is that OSU did most of their damage via the passing game, which is still a work in progress with Franks.

I also think that Michigan's offense would be of the most complete units we have faced all season. Not to mention Shae Patterson's dual threat ability would make things difficult on our defense. Michigan's offense is only ranked 81st in passing offense (213 ypg), so at least our secondary might not get completely shredded. I still think that Michigan's coaching staff would design a game plan to exploit our defense, much like they did the last two times we played.

No question, he's been really bad. The West Virginia fans can't wait until he gets the hell out of there. They had a disaster of a season.
Yeah....that's exactly what I said. :scratchhead:
He did what most all of us expected him to do which is put up big numbers in a system that is designed to do that but WVU fans probably expected a conference title. The truth is his turnovers came at bad times in games and he struggled a little more in the red zone than many of us would have expected....None of that translates to not being a pretty good QB which he is.

Exactly he amassed a ton of stats in an offense where you amass a schit ton of stats, but his turnovers in the critical games were the deciding factors. The wife and I watched about 8 games fully and parts of the other ones. Dude would have a quarter where he was lights out, then have two quarters where he was colder than Alaska. The throws were there, he would just miss. His gambling nature which creates incredible big plays, would kill drives as well. He is a good quarterback, and has an NFL 2nd round grade by most services after the Oklahoma game (which in this draft is about the 2nd or 3rd best qb coming out). He really is who most people thought he was.

Give me WAZZU. I want no part of Mich, OSU, OU. None. I guess if we have to beat up on UCF then so be it.

Am I one of the few that want Butters MacShark?

I would also like a lot of EJ packages.

If not Michigan then UCF.

You're scared of a Mich team that likes to run the ball two out of the three plays right up the middle? OSU ate they ass cause they got their athletes in space. Toney would give Mich nightmares.

As for the other teams you mentioned. 100% agree

Disagree. Meyer is Meyer. He knows how to motivate a team to play a rival. He always has going back to Utah. OSU-MICH has nothing to do with MICH-UF. I don't think that's a good match up for us.

A projection today from, I think, Sports Illustrated, says that Florida will most likely play Penn St. in the Peach Bowl. However, IF Georgia beats Bama and both get into the playoffs, the Sugar Bowl gets the highest ranked remaining SEC team, that being Florida, They would play Oklahoma. Yikes! If Ohio St. makes the playoffs, Michigan would play in the Rose Bowl and that would put Penn St. in the Peach. If Oklahoma makes the playoffs, Ohio St. goes to the Rose Bowl, Michigan to the Peach.

Bad projection by them unless they think the Committee will move Penn State ahead of LSU who doesn't play this weekend either. I don't see why they would since Penn State doesn't have any good wins. I think they just saw they were # 12 and got mixed up on some stuff.

Without them moving idle teams around there is one scenario where I see Penn State would get the last spot.

I am so sick of playing freaking Michigan. Until we actually beat them I won't believe we will. I hate that damn team and hate playing them, and hate how cursed we are when we do. Timmy couldn't even beat them. They have a damn voodoo hex on us. I hate it.

I think we'd be pretty up for Michigan. They just had their playoff Hope's crushed. I think we'd give em a better game this time.
