. Whereas Kirby is tending to show that good recruiting may be wasted on a bad coach.
Yes.

Dwags are starting to figure it out too.

PS you got the facepalm for using "astrologer" to again show your alliance with Spectrum Boy.

Franklin isn't the only, or even the best, example. That would be Dabo.
Franklin really hasnt done anything. He has added a win or two to the average vs the previous coach, but he hasnt won a championship.

Dabo of course has, and he is the exception that proves the rule.

To say however that he isnt a great recruiter is wrong. His teams have had the second or third number of five stars for a while now. Even when he took over he had already landed CJ Spiller and some elite receivers (I forget, Watkins and another). He was an elite recruiter going back to the Tommy Bowden days.

He also lost 77- 0 to WVU. He isnt a genius coach, but he is a guy, probably the closest to SOS in modern day, who believes in using the gas pedal on offense instead of driving around with your left foot on the brakes.

Clemson is more a study in what determining to be the other Bammer facility and staff wise does for a program. It took them a couple of years but they were absolutely determined to compete.

They have staffs of three and four dozen doing quality and recruiting assistance too, just like Bammer. Their bump in recruiting more accurately reflects the timing that they upgraded instead of choosing not to compete ala Fooley.

That's what you get from a paper runner who works for a law firm. Not sure if they pay him or not but he is an aspiring law type person. Im hoping he is at least getting minimum wage and a gas allowance.

The latest extravagances in the college sports arms race? Laser tag and mini golf.

The people in charge of Clemson University’s athletic department have not settled on a design for the miniature golf course they are building for their football team, but they know it will have just nine holes, not 18.

That will leave room for the sand volleyball courts, laser tag, movie theater, bowling lanes, barber shop and other amenities planned in the $55 million complex that South Carolina’s second-largest public university is building exclusively for its football players.

Look at the date of this article; over 3 years ago.

Anyone who thinks Foley is a "good" or "great" AD is a f-ing retard. Practically any HS AD who runs 15+ sports could run the UF non-revenue athletic department. It's Florida, we'll always have good non-revenue sports athletes (go look at some of the other state universities and how well they do in non-revenue sports).

Foley literally sh*t the bed. Clemson has had this facility for football for 3+ years and we still have pictures. They haven't even broken ground on the first phase (baseball). It's inexcusable.

Yes, the secret sauce of Dabo

I'm going to split this out as it isn't really recruiting.

You know that is a dwag troll, right?

Btw those werent their worst coaches. Richt and Donnan are probably top five for Ugly.

Kirby Dumbchump and Ray Goof are basically the same guy. Goof was Dumpchump.and Musschump's mentor after all. Kirby just got a little more lucky with the timing.

Dumpchump just got blownout by Farmer Fran and the Corndogs after all in year four.
Goff and donnan, just about the only 2 uga coaches to never win their division? Was Goff really bringing in the talent that kirby is? I didnt follow recruiting much back then, but seems odd that he would have been bringing in as much talent as kirby.

Law Donks made up pseudonyms for coach names makes Insti's school acronyms look sane.

True, I'm not sure how much stink was still on the program after bill obriens left, or about any of the other stuff with recruiting. I think attributing the jump mainly to seider is a little much. He definitely has proven to be a great recruiter. But hes been at it for a decade and still is a rb coach? Why is he not more valued?

Agree with Mullen out coaching smart, but what really is the difference between a top6 and top10 class? Hard for me to put wins&losses on what could be an such a minor or even noticeable difference .

Seems the word is slowly leaking that Elam will be a Gator. Only a few more days folks

Yep Georgia fans have really cooled on them landing Elam from thinking they had a 50/50 chance a few days ago.

Not sure what to think with Bogle's mess but Miami fans aren't that confident that he will flip to them.

Auburn fans still think they most likely will get MAR but have some doubts and think he may end up with us.

If Mullen pulls 2 of these guys that would be pretty big for him.
