Here’s a theory...
The UAA is looking 10 years out, thinking “football is in trouble...shrinking attendance, CTE liability, arms race, kids not caring, etc. Where do we place our bets for the future?” It’s either baseball, quidditch, or e-sports....and maybe at least they’re picking baseball over quidditch.
A $65 million baseball stadium, for the 300 people that go to the games, mostly girlfriends.
I don’t think maff is his strong suit. How does that math work? 10 girlfriends per player? Shoulda done the baseball thing.
Over/under on how may posts donkey *****es about this on this thread??
Donkeys have many girlfriends. How does that math work? 10 girlfriends per player? Shoulda done the baseball thing.
Exactly...if baseball gets $65M, then football should get $650M.I like going to the baseball games but this is money poorly spent. I just came from the football stadium and that 65 Million with a ZERO attached to the end could go a long way to improving the most important facility on campus!!!!
As a reminder, Alabama continues investing in the right things:
UA announces $600-million plan to upgrade athletic facilities
The plan is highlighted by renovations to Bryant-Denny Stadium that will cost more than $250 million.
Thats because they ANNOUNCED it. Hopefully we gnats on the internet aren't the only ones bytching. It's a miracle they actually finally broke ground on this monstrosity. Most of us were expecting at least another year or two of delays.
To be fair, that's enough for a years supply for the entire teamMeanwhile, $28 has been allotted for the Ramen noodle budget for the football program.
