3 people hop on a limo and dance around on top of the extended roof. An FSU fan with a sweatshirt walked by and from above one Gator limo surfer ripped his sweatshirt off his head and body. From that point I don’t know where a stick came from, but the limo surfer mounted the Nole sweatshirt to a stick and light it on fire. While surfing the limo he was swinging the flaming Nole sweatshirt (is there any other kind) like a burning flag over a still euphoric Gainesville crowd.

Sofla, I may be dense, but are you saying that was you? If so, my heart felt appreciation for your youthful creativity and giving others a great memory.

It also would be the least surprising thing that whoever it was burning a Nole sweatshirt from atop a limo is now part of Gatorchatter. Fitting for the pirate logo.

I wish. Unfortunately no though. I was there but only 17 at the time. I believe the legal age for limo surfing in Florida was still 18 at the time.

I just loved the story and that Costanza reaction was the first thing that came to mind.

Actually, I wasn't supposed to even be there at that game. I'd gotten in serious trouble the weekend of the uga game and then wisely doubled down with a house party while my parents were in Columbia for the game a few weeks later, which I also got caught for. It was held over my head until the day before the fsu game and I truly felt I was going to be told I couldn't go. So I was on my best behavior that night.

After the 95 FSU game, we had a friend who rode a motorcycle and he was parked in the slim grassy median on Univ. Ave near Joe’s Deli when the game ended and crowd was taking over the road. An FSU vehicle with those little window flags flying was stuck in traffic. He went up, ripped one off the car, stuck it in his motorcycles gas tank, then lit it on fire. He made the front page of the mullet wrapper on Sunday.

My parents and I always walked with the band down Stadium and left from our parking spot near there, so I never witnessed post-win University Ave during any of the Spurrier era.

Probably for the best. Between yours and SEC14's stories, it sounds like Gaza back then.
