When I saw these earlier, I never even figured these guys trying to block him were worth looking up. I thought they had to be low 3*s going to a sun belt program. That is very impressive. It’s going to be something to see him after he’s been with Savage for a year or two.

He’s been consistent for years on this. Not sure what the confusion is.

Ive said repeatedly I don't really give a damn about stars for OL and DT, bc it is the hardest position to scout and scouts tend to be wowed by skinny linemen who can dunk basketballs. I've probably said that 1000 times by now.

Every now and then there are guys that just stand out, like Gervon, or Dominique and Sharrif, but most are just works in progress and you are only guessing about their drive in the weight room and their edge/meanness on the field.

Give our current roster I just don't give a damn about a 200 pound DE. Even if he is a 5.8 and our current guy is a 5.7.

I do care about stars bc obviously these guys should be watching tons of video and camps. Generally I will defer but sometimes I look at a kid and say "I just don't see what they see in that guy" or I just don't care about their ratings bc like now, a position is well past full.

I never say "just trust the coaches" bc obviously, like last year, coaches get desperate and clearly our scouting department (now almost all fired and some who were holdovers from the last regime) couldnt be trusted either.

I don't trust 247 at all bc they use the Oxrageous types who run the 247 boards purchased to capture forum members and they are anything but objective.

You possibly are confused or just very protective of your SD. So let me explain it to you.

We just lost five from the last class and we will lose probably that many again from transfers/ injuries/ whatevers. We need to take more like 32.

I will admit this is somewhat of a consistent inconsistency on SD's part.

Sometimes I just give you my assessment that I like a kid despite low initial ratings, ie AR. Fit matters especially with QB in this particular offense bc it is so drastically different than other teams. I said from the beginning once I saw his film he is the right guy for Mullinz offense. In other systems, he'd be less likely to succeed.

Im impressed frankly with his development. I thought he'd fit Mullinz but he seems to be one hell of a dedicated kid who is putting in 100% effort. Even the scouts see it now and he regularly gets mentioned.

He could still flop obviously but I really like where this kid is.
