Can Franks hold on to the Number 1 QB spot?

Ridiculous post. Your standard for whether they are doing well as a leader is whether or not their teammates like them and if they are avoiding felonies? Come on, you know that’s stupid. My bar for acceptable behavior is so far above felonies I don’t even think about it. I want my ability setting the example for his teammates and comporting himself well in the spotlight - that’s why he goes to media days and talks to the media after games. He’s representing the team and school, just like Mullen.

I hope FF plays well enough to silence his critics, not that EJ takes over. I also hope he matures into an average CFB player - how many guys do you see out of the thousands of football players in CFB act like him? He’s a joke when he does that and you know it. Heck, I caught flack last night on a CU board from CSU and CU fans for how he acts. Think about that - why would they care unless it stands out?

Even more ridiculous post. There is a reason he goes to media days and all post game pressers. He’s the QB and he has his teammates back. He speaks well of them and showers praise...especially his oline which also is heavily criticized. I could give a shyt if they “like” him. I want them to respect him....which apparently they do. He represents the school and program well at those events.

His biggest issue is that he is not a great QB and many of our fans will always remind him of that. He in turn will react. There is your immaturity.

Every single Canes player talks more trash to opponents and preens more to the camera. Let’s start there. Not even close.

Didn't know what you were referring to so I did a search. Came across something about the Columbus policeman's wife. More troubling though is the rumor about Erin Andrews and Herbie. Ewww.
The Columbus police officer's wife is the story I know of, but I've read/heard rumors about others.

He was every bit as bad as any Canes player, if not worse. They were celebrating into the camera, not taunting other fans.

He’s invited to those events to represent the team and university. He speaks well there and if it ended at that, he wouldn’t catch much crap from NATIONAL media. That’s the difference - our fans will always give our QBs crap, just like every other school. The difference is very few other QBs draw the attention of the NATIONAL media for their antics. He’s starting to get the same coverage Manziel, Mayfield, Newton, etc generated without the production they produced. That’s an indictment on him, not fans.

Marine, I am outraged that you are not outraged about our QB. He is an abomination for Gatornation. He needs to either play better to back up his antics or become a choir boy. This embarrassment must end for all these gator fans that have no filter in their disdain for FF.

Lol. It’s very interesting if nothing else. Brings fodder for a lot of back and forth. Million post march!

I’ve seen enough Canes and Noles love for today. No. The canes are not the model of decorum. Their nickname is literally Thug U.

Marine is a good man and great gator. He understands completely "in all kinds of weather"
You implying I don’t understand IAKOW because I don’t like the antics of our QB? I’d argue that I care so much about team and program that I will criticize that behavior but anyone enabling it or dismissing it should look long and hard at what image they want our program to project. Additionally, I haven’t given up on the team or required a break from the board so... what’s your point?

Great point and exactly why I don’t want our QBs emulating or exceeding their behavior. Glad we finally agree :)

Maybe that’s the problem - you’re too sober!

Probably....but I’m settling in now. Always in a very good mood after a Noles loss. Especially in the manner they lost today. I have a few particularly obnoxious nole acquaintances you went from super pumped to destroyed physically, mentally and emotionally. I can’t tell you how much I am enjoying this.

As you should. I’m enjoying the radio silence from my Nole friends.

That said, didn’t see Blackman running his mouth the BSU fans in the first half...

Actually, I was just talking to Marine. We have a history of pretty much agreeing on how we feel about this program and that constant criticism is not really a productive way to encourage our young fellas. When a guy like FF reads social media it becomes quickly clear that his performance is way below the standard gator fans want. Seems like a lot of pressure on a kid like that. From little backwoods Crawfordville. I taught school for a LONG time. I learned that kids responded much better to positive reinforcement than what we see in just this place like 1. Franks sucks 2. he is a punk 3. he is so immature 4, He is like a UM thug. yada yada yada. I am sure that DM and some of the coaches are in his ear but this is the horse our wagon is hitched to. I remember many years ago some older woman told SOS his antics and visor abuse were not nice and looked bad. He said he tried it her way but it was not him. I think he lost a game trying to be calmer. I have seen so much worse than FF. I just want the kid to play hard, learn from mistakes and not have to worry that "his fans" are against him. You mentioned that marine1 was too sober. Maybe we all could use some liquid courage (my dad called it that ) to chill a little.

Everything seems better for some reason after those type of games.......
