That's true. He made two throws that a QB can make, all the others could have been made by my wife.

Sideways nonsense all night long. It will fail miserably against the big boys.

That’s what you do when you can’t block and you’ve got talent outside.

Agree but your last statement isn’t accurate. Many assured us that OL wasn’t a concern because Hev is a known miracle worker.

It is a project that I hope will improv was the season progresses and be decent by the time we play better teams. I don’t recall anyone thinking it would be fine from the start.

I can think of several but the easiest was law. Check out his pre-Miami stuff.

This is the dumbest post in the history of message boards.

None of those guys attempted 20 two-yard passes in a row. They believed in actually trying to move the chains.

He is doing what his coach is telling him to do and personally, I like it. Mullen's little pinky knows more about offense and playing football than Franks knows. Franks played a pretty great game. He made just about every single throw on target. His stats reflect his play. The ONLY thing that can be said about it ... it was UTM.

Trask and EJ looked like crap in comparison. The only thing that can really be said about that ... its harder to come in off the bench and establish a rhythm.

"...the dumbest post in the history of message boards" Wow, Ox, that's quite a superlative! Maybe it should go in the Hall of Fame?

Seeing a QB in there with a lightning release was a breath of fresh air.

Discuss.

There isn't a snowflakes chance in hell that a glorified ballboy will ever start a game while Franks has any eligibility left......
Same goes for the Stick Man EJ.....my God would it kill someone on the staff to buy that kid a burger. He still can't be over 165# and nearly got knocked out of the game.

Im still on board with Franks starting but it would be interesting to see what the other two could do with the One's.

Watched the LSU / Texas game last night and I'm here to say LSU is the real deal this year, no way we go up there and get a "W" unless we get our game to another level, I don't know what they are paying that guy they got from the Saints to run the offense but he's worth it.

I forgot all about this thread. I’d still like to see Trask start and play an entire game.

I do kinda want to see this as well but realistically I dont see it happening unless Franks gets hurt. Also, I have no idea who our #2 QB is at the moment. It seems like it is Trask but Mullen never really says one way or the other and we haven't had any situation to really know for sure either.

With that said, Trask seems to be good for a turnover or two a game after seeing his horrible throw in the O&B game and then repeated against UTM. My first look at him during UTM made me remember him as hesitant on a lot of his throws but I rewatched and it wasn't as bad as I thought. Taking the perspective of where he came from, I imagine he isn't used to be the #1 and when he gets in the game he might freakout a bit initially. Maybe he calms down and goes to work ... maybe he Bentleys. He has a great arm and looks athletic enough to burn a D that gives him space. He looks like he could be a Burrows or a Bentley.

In fact, Trask spoke of the transfer portal, but Mullen sweetened our deal by promising that he'd add 2 more more important pages to Trasks' clipboard.

Not saying there's overcriticalism here, but many here, on that hail Mary, accuse Franks of intentional grounding.,

It's gotta be a ploy to lure the Donkey out of retirement.....Little does Ox know that after seeing Trask lead us to our only punt of the game Donkey is gonna be tied up for a while....

I’d like to see DM pick a #2 and give him significant snaps in game 5. I think you have to get the #2 ready in a long season. I think nervousness is a little more likely in EJ at this point but his upside is larger. Trask seems calm and poised. I think he knows the offense well. Probably more limited than Franks in the run game but who really knows? If he moves too fast he could break a foot.
