FF completed 93% of his passes in a game and people in here are trashing him and trying o downplay his efforts.

He did something no other Gator QB has ever done. Danny and Tim were Gator QBs. THAT is what it has to do with them.

NOW, no one is putting FF in their class. FF had a phenomenal game. 1 game. Let him put together a season with 65% completion, 3000 yards, and 25 - 30 TDs with 6 picks or less. No one is crowning him great. He had one great game against a cupcake. Give the man some cedt.

Vick was no bigger than Emory Jones while at Virginia Tech.

Michael Vick is a totally different body type, much more compact and could have played RB, WR or QB.....Jones ain't no Vick.

I think we are better off in the long run with him than Franks unless Franks steps it up and is actually a threat with intermediate passes. He does need to bulk up some more but I remember Alex Smith being pretty skinny when he first started at Utah and getting pancaked multiple times in games and avoiding game missing injuries. Some people are just injury prone in football while others aren't.

Emory Jones failing to emerge as the starter in year two is a big disappointment. The guy must be struggling to adapt to the college game.

We desperately need someone who's equally dangerous running and throwing the ball.

Or Mullen is stubborn and figures he can win with Franks, and it will build his rep as a QB whisperer if he can keep increasing Franks progress.

I think he would be after he got a few games under his belt. He could at least run what Mullen wants probably but Mullen has a history of not switching more experienced QBs out for the younger option unless an injury happens but he did come close last season to doing it. Smith at Utah (well he was QB coach actually there) and Prescott at MSU didn't start until the older guys got hurt in a game and then they played much better than the older former starter when given the chance.

A phenomenal game? Seriously? Good God, this is embarrassing. There was nothing phenomenal about that performance. Completing 90% of short passes is not phenomenal. Hitting guys ten yards open downfield is not phenomenal.

I do not expect him to even throw for 200 yards tonight.
