I hope Trask is the real deal. That what I saw last night when he came in was real. But I have seen this soo many times, I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned. When Harris came in everyone was saying the same thing, when Applebee came in people were saying the same thing, when Frank's came in ... whatever I think it's a spark that happens but I really really hope I'm wrong and Trask is the best Cinderella story ever. I wouldn't be putting any money on it though

Great analogy, Bart! I loved him with the Dolphins when Griese went down, but not enough to cut my curly locks and get a flat top!

My first thought was that it would have been a great 2 pt. play, but I'm glad we had it to spend to seal the game. Most coaches have one like that each game that they keep for when they really need it. Kudos to Coach for his patience and timing.

Thanks TN. I have to think Coach knew all along what he had in Trask, but he also knew how the team felt about and responded to Franks. Hate that it took an injury for all to see, but football is a man down/next up game and we saw that concept work pretty well last night.

Trask obviously did a lot of great things last night. Very impressed with how he ran and executed his part of the offense. He threw it pretty well, but his best toss might have been the late pitch to Perine on the option, while he was in the grasp no less. Kid made one helluva play. I'm interested to see what he does with a week of full reps with the ones.
I thought his best play was the pass to Pitts over the middle. He was under heavy pressure and threw a catchable ball over the LB in the middle of the field. Haven’t seen that at UF in a while.

Most of his sports posts are. Just rambling on about how he hates everything with no substance.

The Tyler Murphy parallel keeps coming to mind. Played some good ball when he came in but was obviously limited. Then he got hurt and Morningweg was allowed to take snaps - at least our third string is an athletic dual threat 4 star now.

This is an interesting point C2 and one I had not considered. It makes a lot of sense and, if you are right it may mean the team reacts to him in a totally different way than if FF had been benched and Trask took over. I suspect we’ll know the answer fairly soon.

Yeah.

Or Treon (remember when he scored on his first four or five drives and threw those long seam route TDs repeatedly?)

Or Franks. You people were dancing when he was named started.

There is actually a very long list of second string QBs you worshipped until they actually got in the game.

Why is it so bad to have hope? Nobody knows what will happen but there is nothing wrong with hoping. Nobody is worshiping anybody. Would you rather have seen him fail miserably?

This. It was a thing of beauty how he faked the hand off to Perine while he just gave it to Hammond. Timing was perfect. I had to look at it a few times.

Your mentioning looking at it a few times, prompted me to do the same. Actually about ten times. The first couple were to watch the fake, the rest to watch the blocking. When you look at each of the blocks individually, you realize just how great a fake it was. The entire middle of the defense was fooled and went after Perine. The only crucial block was Krull’s on the edge, which he executed well. Pitts also threw a good block, but at that point it was pretty much all Hammond. What amazes me was how smooth that handoff and fake executed by a back up quarterback. How many times could Trask, as opposed to FF, have possibly practiced that play with Hammond and Perine? In the event it looked like a lot.

Yet you have a ball thrown directly to you and then you celebrate like a total ASS CLOWN like you are the next Paul Krause.
I loved the Paul Krause reference. My Dad was a big Redskins fan and any time I watched a Vikings game with him it was a certainty that at some point he’d mention that the ‘Skins never should have traded him to Minnesota.

re: Davis celebrating. I cant stand it. All our CB's do it. Pass gets dropped or overthrown they stand in the middle of the field and wave their arms like they made they play of the game. Hate it.
