He threw two terrible picks, although Grimes definitely had a chance at one of them but didn't hold on. Franks was known to throw some head scratchers at times too though so I'm just hoping as Trask gets more live action under his belt, the game will slow down for him and he'll grow out of those bad decision kind of throws. Otherwise, the dude looks like a baller.
He threw one bad pick. As you said, the one to Grimes in the endzone could have been caught and wasn't 'terrible.'
Yes, as he gets more game time (and more focused time in practice and the film room) he should improve his vision and the game should still slow down for him. However, he's a different guy than Franks. Franks wouldn't throw some throws, even when they were open. Other times, often I would say, Franks waited until he saw his man open before he threw it. By the time he did the holes closed. Only his cannon of an arm kept him from having more intercepted passes. Back to the point, Trask is more of a ...gunslinger. I don't love that word for him, but he's more willing to throw it. We'll have much more passing success because of it, but also more exposure to risk.
It's early and the sample size is small, but there's no denying the difference Trask makes.
