Look, he was so hated that Fooley DIDNT EVEN INTERVIEW OR CONSIDER him the last two openings even though everyone on the planet knew he lusted after our job.

He doesn't seem to be as big of an arsehole as he used to be, but he was easily the most hated assistant when he was here across the board staff alumni everyone. I guess living in Starkville for 9 years and losing more conference games then you win will do that to you.
Let's just hope the AD at UF wouldn't let a little thing like his personal feelings allow him to shun Mullen for Champ and Mac.

That may be the most damning thing I've heard about Foley, if true. You hire coaches to manage a program. Not to be liked everybody. If it shakes out that way, so be it. But there's examples of prosperity by multiple personality types.

Law is 100% correct in regards to Fooley and how he felt about Cousin Eddie. As much as Fooley disliked Urbs, he loathed Cousin Eddie and would not have called him if his life depended on it. It is also well known that one of (if not main) reason that Urbs came back for one more year was b/c Fooley was not going to take Urb's advice and give the HC job to DAZ. As much as I think Fooley is incompetent, not having any interest in DAZ or Cousin Eddie as HC was the only savvy Fooley ever showed regarding football. It is just overshadowed by his inability to build on that savvy by having no idea who to turn to when he actually had to make a hire or recommendation.

Shocking, FF hates everything about the program, present staff included. Did it hurt deep down to put that Foley made a correct decision?

I call everything as I see it. I realize that someone's honesty and objectivity that runs against the blind and non knowledgable fan's feelings is not a popular way to gain friends but that has really never bothered me.

Aww you’re so cute when you’re mad.

Honesty and objectivity aren’t the hallmarks of your posting style. While I’m withholding judgment on the quality of the “Cousin Eddie” hiring, I think to-date results indicate he was the best available at the time. But I’m sure you probably preferred willie taggart.

I can think of no higher praise and confirmation of what an all around great guy Mullen is than Foley hating him. Explains Foley giving booster money to the parasitic sports.

Mullen has made zero grandiose claims for his team. A narcissist makes those type claims.
DM seems overly honest and that may tamp down his recruiting messages. To recruits, Gators are not grandiosely embellished, like lying recruiters from other teams. That way, DM teams have got to prove themselves on the field before getting described in dazzling terms.?

0% chance, when that play fails.

Recruiting will improve if Mullen :
1) improves recruiting staff by replacing "duds" with convincing coaches.
2) makes Gators seen as fun-winning team: for recruits to see.
3) attracts best QBs with his growing "QB-guru" reputation.
4) gets unsolicited praise from his players.
5) what else?
Beating the dwags wouldn't suck.

Hello gator fanatics, long time reader but this is my first time posting.

After watching them against MSU I'm a little more nervous than I was. However, I think MSU shot themselves in the foot early and could never recover. Didn't understand Moorhead starting the other QB instead of a Schreider who was on fire coming off a Kentucky thumping. With that being said, Auburn did play well and capitalize on the bulldogs mistakes. We will need a huge game out of Zuniga, Greenard, Reese, Hendo, and Wilson on D.

I've got faith in Dan and company to come up with a good enough game plan to get it done on Offense. We probably won't be able to have much success running on that front so we will need to utilize the quick passing game like we did in the 4th quarter of the Kentucky game and the way Kentucky's offense did against us for the majority of that game.

Glad you stepped out of the shadows! Jump right in and don’t hold back. Good to have you here.

Sorry to digress, but this regression in the quality of writing was astounding:

I'm not unconvinced he didn't suck my soul out of me the time we met.

Congrats on the use of the super rare triple negative. I’m also happy that you are certain Meyer let you keep your soul.

As to the discussion:
Much of this rehashed thread seems like Seabee, after being called out for too much SD and Ltraz love because he was calling them like Avengers Endgame to a pissing contest with Crete, had to show he doesn’t really have a DonkeyRaz shrine next to his computer.

We see through the ruse.

Chump and Butters had delusions of grandeur. We've seen narcissist coaches and Dan ain't one of them .
