Not sure if I would have admitted that if I was you.?.

I lived 20 minutes from Athens for 3 years...was invited to a LOT of games. Guess how many I attended? Zero.

I wouldn’t see their azz sniffing, ball licking team at home... I damn sure wouldn’t travel with the team for away games! No way you went to all those games and didn’t root for those bastards. Ox should demand your Gator Card here and now.
Ala is not wrong.

Well in my defense I was 19 and my love for drinking beer and trying really hard to fck every uga fans wife, daughter, sister and mother out weighed my hatred for a football team we had dominated my entire life up to that point.

There is something to be said for this approach.

We couldn’t have advertised the brand any better.

I would have liked a blow out but it wouldn’t have been as electric for those uncommitted kids.

You can see our commits losing their minds in the end zone seats after the big plays down there.

It’s as close to defining the future direction of the program as we’ve gotten so far under Mullen.

Even Auburn admitted to the insanity of the atmosphere. Their Swamp cherry didn’t get popped. It got revenge porn annihilated.
This is a good point. In a way, keeping it “close” from a recruiting standpoint was probably more beneficial than a blow out. With the amount of visitors we had for that game. Keeping the atmosphere at the ridiculous state it was for 4 quarters opened a lot of eyes. It’s literally the first thing EVERY recruit mentioned that took an interview. Major props to all in attendance for sure.
As well as Mullen for making that such a priority.

I slayed some top shelf dwag poontang back in my day. Say what you want about the team and fan base, some of those dwag coeds are :faint:

Full disclosure I actually ended up dating one; she was a knockout and a real "peach." Ultimately the distance was too much to overcome. That and a finals week where i got no sleep and studied non stop only to get an email halfway through the week giving it to me with both barrels for being such an inconsiderate prick for not calling for 4 days.

Aint nobody got time for that. So I ended it with her... by hitting Reply

I remember feeling some wierd, yet ironic level of satisfaction to how that whole situation played out; maybe I was a prick. But aint nobody got time for that.

Edit - failed to mention that my parents were actually kind of mad at me for ending it with her. She was mega rich; I mean big time loaded. Her parents were divorced and each one of them on their own had net worths in excess of 4-5 mill. Both business owners and the plan was for her to take over for her mother after she graduated. Maybe I should have called

You have to love that HBC is running trick plays up 45-17. That guy understood the hatred of Georgia and the need to embarrass them at every opportunity.

My favorite was the presser afterwards:

"A lot of our coaches had mentioned that nobody had ever scored 50 in this park before. ... This is probably the only time in our lifetime that we will play up here. We wanted to try to make it a memorable game for the Gators."

It damn sure was.

Your weekly Jahmyr Gibbs update (albeit a little late): Gibbs had to pretty much carry his Dalton HS team as they were without their starting QB, best O-lineman. and best WR against Region foe River Ridge. Ho-hum, Gibbs ran for 326 yards on 21 carries (15.5 avg) and three TDs. His TDs were on runs of 83, 50, & 64 yards respectively. Dalton had the back up QB knocked out and was playing with a third stringer from the 2nd quarter on, so I have to believe the entire focus of the D was on Gibbs. I do not have the skill set to determine what translates fromm HS to the SEC, but have to believe this guy is going to be a star at the next level. I really hope we are pulling out all the stops to get him onto campus.

Mullinz didnt win shyt and had a losing conference record at Cowbell bc he couldnt land talent. Now that he cant land talent here, he doesnt need talent to win bc he gon coach'em up.

I'd apologize for going back over a month for a quote, especially since you're overdue to chirp the same 'losing conference record' again any day now, but a link to an article had me wondering, so I thought I'd rebutt a bit

Harry Fodder: Underdogs Again

His Mississippi State and Florida teams, against top 10-ranked opponents that haven't worn crimson and white jerseys, are a combined 7-2 since the 2014 season. Yes, his MSU teams went 0-4 against Alabama, but the aforementioned record includes consecutive wins by the Bulldogs in '14 at No. 8 LSU, then No. 6 Texas A&M and No. 2 Auburn at home — a run that vaulted MSU to the top of the national rankings for the first time in school history — plus a trio of top-10 upsets (in four tries) sprinkled into his season-and-a-half at UF.

...

All told, UF has been an underdog five times in Mullen's two seasons. The Gators have won four of those games, including one on the road (at Mississippi State) and one at a neutral site (Michigan in the Peach Bowl).

And if I go check Dan's wiki, I see the following:

So it appears you honed in on conference record because it suits your negative narrative, but ignore any numbers that actually reflect he may be a good coach. We know about selecting data to support a narrative, but I would have hoped you'd at least be fair about it.

No one cares about him go 4-0 vs four cupcakes (two 1 AA teams) he played every year.

He does have an overall record in the Butters/Muschump zone though, you are correct.

He actually can potentially get back to .500 in conference this week. That is a big deal considering how far down he was.
