You may just be the biggest moron I’ve seen on here...and that includes sonoma....
A buddy of mine who was in the Marines once mentioned that it’s always easy to figure out if a guy was an infantry officer. To my question of how, he responded “because they’ll tell you.”
Hail oh hail oh infantry! There are only 2 branches, Infantry and Infantry support.
Kind of ironic coming a Marine though.
I had to work with the USMC band once. They claim to be riflemen too.Hail oh hail oh infantry!
Ironic indeed. I wasn't sure that there were any different kinds of marines. True, some prefer to eat different color crayons, but a marine is a marine.
Talent is part of the equation and coaching the other part. FSU and Clemson might have similar talent, but Clemson has vastly superior coaching. And consistency in coaching.
IMO UF can attract a smarter more effective DC than Todd Grantham. Still, having 100% healthy Zuniga & Greenard, Grantham put on the field a defense we could be proud of. Their blitzing worked without getting gashed by the running game. Before the high ankle sprain Greenard was getting better and better - as an all around dominant defender. Without his earlier injury, Zuniga was progressing too. Those two would have bolstered our top-10 defense. Everything hummed when they were there. Is the assumption that a different DC would have a better rounded type defense such that losing Zuniga & Greenard would not diminish it ?
G & Z are tremendous losses. I hate that they won't fulfill their their CFB dreams this year. Us gator spectators lose a lot to applaud.
We almost lost Trask. Aren't we using a Trask whose balance and mobility are hurt?
The remaining season, I think can give us 10 or more wins. It will give us enjoyment of watching Trask develop more, along with the advance of the player weaponry he uses, along with "developers" such as Copeland, maybe Clement, Pierce's resumption. Is there hope for Wells, Krull.?
Can we face FSU with returned Toney, Zuniga, Greenard, and a fully healed fearless Trask? Hope so and wouldn't that be an excelling team? Gotta watch for it.
Florida teams are generally very fast and that talent is best utilized with an aggressive attacking style of defense. While I wouldn’t suggest that Grantham is the best out there by any means, no matter what Mullen says, his attacking, gambling style suits us especially when he has the players to do it effectively. If you look back at the 80s for example that’s always been our best defensive style. There are much worse fits out there in terms of DC for this program.

If you look back at the 80s for example that’s always been our best defensive style. We’re always going to be fast, and we’re always going to be undersized. I’d much rather see us fly around and hit somebody than bend but don’t break, and I think the players like it too.
I think ole sidehat was probably better. Grantham has been destroyed by non-Bama teams quite a few times here and gave up 30 points a game to SEC East opponents last season.
Dude just managed to give up over 10 yards a play for the entire game.
Just something to include in talk on histories of ranking classes for whoever Clemson, FSU, Bama, OSU, ... UF, etc.. = gotta include which HCs establish the best CEO aspect to the Program. That's important for the continuity of high results.

Especially since this was after he commanded an Infantry company as well. FWIW - He also said the same thing about the pilots, er, excuse me, aviators. There are only 2 branches, Infantry and Infantry support.

Can’t argue that, nor can you argue that this staff has been trying to make chicken salad out of chicken sh!t from jump street, while more than a few fans expect filet mignon Hennessy XO flambé and lobster lightly poached in a dry saunterne with a bernaise black truffle sauce. With better talent it would at least mask some of those shortcomings you mention I believe.
LSU deliberately injured our two best pass rushers (and two best defensive players overall) on the first play of the game, sh!tbird. That might have had something to do with the statistics you just cited.
Is it really one night? We've struggled to stop anyone. We've made every QB look like a Heisman, even Towson's.
I gave you a thumbs up on this one because that meal sounds delicious. Can’t argue that, nor can you argue that this staff has been trying to make chicken salad out of chicken sh!t from jump street, while more than a few fans expect filet mignon Hennessy XO flambé and lobster lightly poached in a dry saunterne with a bernaise black truffle sauce. Grantham is the problem you idiot. He sucks against good passing teams. You could've given him Reggie White and Bruce Smith the other night and he still couldn't have figured out how to stop Lsu.
