I really wonder if I could have done a better job than Ol WiLLLLLie.

We all say, “I could have made that play”, when in reality our middle aged, no D-1 (or D-3) experienced butts would have never been in position to even make a play.

I’ve never coached or played. But, could I have done a better job than what WiLLLLLLLie did?

Realistically, I probably would do worse. But, I bet I wouldn’t have been much worse.

The fact that it’s not certain shows how awful WiLLLLLLLie is.

I talk to the facility department there and the people heading up that project don’t ever expect it to happen. As of right now all athletic projects are on hold and have been that way for a while.

I know they got a bunch of fundraising done to spite Jimbo. I have no idea what that means. they could have drained the whole account or just some of it. Who knows, but that's where I'm hearing at least some of the money is coming from.

I kept hearing they couldn't afford to fire him, nothing would surprise me now. They won't get one worse, that's for sure.

We thought the same thing after Muschamp, but yeah, I tend to agree.

I can’t believe Butters got a real mention. And for the Nole fans out there - totally agree, dude got a raw deal here. Y’all should hire him to right that wrong. We’d be shaking in our jorts.

Actually, it is more likely Brian Kelly. He will be their top guy. Meyer is a pipe dream. Kelly, they have a legit shot at.

If this is the case, then I wonder if the Meyer rumors came from him trying to make this deal happen so he can retire in 5 years from his dream job.

Yea, definitely not one worse. Reality is they really couldn't afford to fire him, but they did it anyway. No one going to the games means they aren't making any money. To have even a remote shot, they really did have no choice. Who they hire won't be a big splash. They are going to have to get lucky with someone.

“Prior to being named interim director of Athletics, Coburn served as chief of staff to President Eric Barron and then Thrasher.

Coburn brought a wealth of legislative and state budget experience to the university’s administration when President Eric Barron hired him in 2012.

He is a 34-year veteran of the Florida legislative process, most recently Staff Director of the Florida Senate Committee on Ways and Means prior to coming to FSU. He served as Chief of Staff of the House of Representatives under two different Speakers, as Chief of Staff of the Senate under Senate President Ken Pruitt, and as Director of Planning and Budgeting for Gov. Lawton Chiles from 1992-94.

Coburn is a triple Florida State alumnus having earned a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, and a Juris Doctorate from the FSU College of Law.”

So, they have a professional gofer leading the process......

12. Jim McElwain, Central Michigan -- While this name might be surprising, there were a number of Seminole brass who felt McElwain got a raw deal at Florida. He knows the state, and his recruiting was solid as head of the Gators. Also, who better to want to extract revenge on their biggest rival?

Please let it be!

I honestly hope they pick pj fleck. The guy is a complete fraud. 8-0 at Minnesota Google their schedule it's easier than any p5 school. They literally almost lost to south Dakota. Their last coach was right the guys a weasel dances up and down the sideline super drama coach. Only cares about himself he will surely leave, and I'm hoping FSU makes another mistake and picks this guy. He's not proven he's kinda like how everyone thought mcelwain was good but after research it's obvious he's not really playing tough teams and there are red flags but his personality is over appealing to teams.

I'd like to follow the paper trail of the boosters who came up with the $18 million AND what they have to pay their staff. Hard to believe it's above the table

Is the Buyout funding subject to Public Records/Sunshine?

I don’t think Mac’s buyout was because the UF Athletic Association is a private organization. But, as tied in to the state as Clown Town athletics is, the get rid of WiLLLLLLie funding sources could be public record.

Firing him just turned FSU into Tennessee 2.0! They have effectively self-injected the death penalty....it took us 10 years to recover from crap hires, sit back and enjoy the next 20-30 years of crap in Tallahassee!
