I've seen his hudl film, he has some social media footage, and some other stuff on the recruiting sites. Yes, he plays outside, but he moves inside a lot and lines up in a rover (type) position. He has somewhere around 6 fumble recoveries this season - you don't recover too many fumbles playing outside. He's a hitter, which is what I like about him. Honestly, I don't really want him playing CB in our scheme (he's not "elite" - Rogers is).

I saw maybe 15 seconds of film of his just a few days ago as I was scrolling through twitter and it was all safety. Came up and just destroyed guys and read/reacted very well. But he is most certainly not afraid to lower the boom which we need.

Probably the same footage I've seen. He can hit! He's also got several "forced fumbles" this season. We were discussing a few threads back that I like him in the star/nickel position (but I'm no talent evaluator, just seems like that's a good fit for him). I think we have better players that can play CB/outside.

So RB's

EJ Smith
Jaylan Knighton
Demarckus Bowman

Is the CB on 247 for Bowman trending towards us old news?

And secondly does anyone else think that Bowman may be overrated? I look at his highlights compared to those other two guys and I just don't get it. Don't get me wrong I'm definitely no expert and I'd take the kid in a second but the other guys just look like they're a bit more complete

Bowman is committed to Clemson....and no, he's not overrated.

We’d be lucky to be able to get Knighton and take advantage of FSU being down...bowman is gone it’s been discussed as nauseam on podcasts about him needing to get out of state...there are a couple questions though as to why we’re not seeming to go harder in on their class Tate and Wildeman in particular

Someone on here the other day was claiming we are getting like 2-3 commits this weekend. I'm not holding my breath.

When you say we'd be lucky, do you mean you think it's a long shot or that it would be a nice get?

Does the number of stars a recruit consider anything about is academic standing? Can you be a 5* and not have any chance of qualifying scholastically?

If you are a legit 5*, I assure you there are very few schools where they won't find a way to get you in. (And that includes guys who can't spell either SAT or ACT.)

We gonna use the Notre Dame excuse (and excuse the Big 10 used to use) now?

So the dudes that didn't qualify last year didn't get in because of the admissions office not looking the other way? It seems like a certain number of 5* wouldn't even consider us because they'd have to study something other than Sports Information. Of the top 10 teams in recruiting only Michigan is near us and they have zero five starts slated this year.

Another thing of the 27 5* only 3 are from Florida anyway according to Rivals. Which to me smacks of BS or the talent in Florida just ain't that great anymore.

It's all smoke and mirrors, convince me otherwise.

Coaching pay is better in Georgia. Better HS coaches in Georgia has led to better prospects in Georgia. It’s been shifting that way over the last several years.

Let's just assume they really are more talented in GA due to what you said. Isn't that just kind of like the TX vs Glades players. That the GA 5*s may be quickly surpassed by FL 4's. Just like when Henderson came in as a project and quickly became one of the best CB's in the country.

So that wouldn't necessarily make GA players better prospects, just more polished. Kirby is proving that every week.

Have you actually seen the majors of our players? Sports Mgt and sociology are tops, no doubt.
