Kiffin is officially the “Toby” of the college football “Office”. You can almost hear him sort of mumbling in a self-doubting low tone how he’s interested in the “XYZ job”, only to be completely dismissed and ridiculed. It’s embarrassing at this point.
Deion will play this up for publicity as long as he can. He knows damn well he isn't a candidate, but is loving the attention. You really think that weasel would EVER say publicly he's not a candidate or isn't interested?Until Deion publicly says he's not a candidate and/or says he's not interested in the head coaching vacancy at F$U, this story is still growing legs. Well, at least I do want it to happen.

A good a theory as any. This is of course the danger in getting a bunch of alums to pony up big money. They are going to believe it gives them a say in who the replacement should be (with the added benefit of not having to take responsibility if their choice fails). I think they would have all been for Bob Stoops (and perhaps he was dangled in front of them to get the $), but if he really isn’t interested they’ll end up with a compromise choice which probably won’t end well.Totally based on zero information- my bet is that Sanders laid down a chunk of the buyout money and then believed that entitled him to be a big part of the coaching selection decision. The rumors of him reaching out for a coaching staff could be true, just maybe not “his” coaching staff.
First off, I doubt Deion is half as wealthy as people think. Secondly, I think he's too much of a cheap ass to give one cent even if he had the money.Totally based on zero information- my bet is that Sanders laid down a chunk of the buyout money and then believed that entitled him to be a big part of the coaching selection decision. The rumors of him reaching out for a coaching staff could be true, just maybe not “his” coaching staff.
So I guess the kid with the lemonade stand gets first shot at picking a coach. We may be screwed.A good a theory as any. This is of course the danger in getting a bunch of alums to pony up big money. IDK, but if it isn't, it definitely SHOULD be. Too bad bspn won't look into it.I was hoping for some feedback on my theory but no luck so far.
I am suggesting that Deion was a candidate for 5-10 minutes until that aggravating little thing called qualifications came to the surface and everyone realized that Deion cannot be a coach because he has not graduated from college.
By quietly stating that he is not a candidate, FSU is able to save Deion from the obvious embarrassment of having to admit that he was never even a college student back in the day.
Can anyone out there with knowledge confirm that a degree is required?
