Donk has battered fan syndrome. He likes Mullen and secretly thinks he might can do it, and was oh so close to loving again...then UGA.

Their running prevent allowed us to move the ball, but it was our runnning of the play clock down 30 seconds a play that caused it to take 7 minutes. You just can’t defend Dan on this (and seem rational) as though Kirby baited him into that.

If you want to argue the defense forces it to take 3-4 minutes due to short plays allowed, fine. Not half a f@#king quarter.

I was screaming snap the damm ball. I'm still pissed. Georgia was beatable!

A lot of us felt that way. For me it was LSU, when we could have won but hideous coaching decisions did us in. And then UGA, when the team was completely unprepared and the coaching was awful on both sides of the ball in the biggest game Mullen has had to date.

It shakes your confidence, at least for people that want to win championships. Some of us are just as happy as a clam.

So for the guys who dont want Dan, who did you want at the time he was hired? All I remember was the huge cry for Chip Kelly

This is an irrelevant debate now. Mullen has done a nice job pulling the program out of the gutter. The debate is whether or not he can take it to the next level.

My opinion is no, others have a different opinion. Like you. Or, you're simply happy with 10 wins, no championships, and a nice bowl.

I cant make an opinion on that given its not even 2 full seasons in, but I do like the direction given that this team is not championship caliber talent level right now yet we are still hanging with the big boys. The season we won 4 games, UGA was playing for the NC. You dont change a HC and beat those guys in 2 tries.
Ppl forget that Urban walked into a talented team, Dan did not.

If recruiting was where it should be, I would be much more patient.

You must have missed the 5 kids in the last class that didn't make it on campus?
If Wilson really does get in for the spring and Black (still all Gators) makes here like it seems, wont be as bad as we thought. Losing three wouldn’t be unheard of.

That’s the rub. I think everyone appreciates the fact that Mullen brought some stability and the “Gator Standard” back. The issue is recruiting, and that has to improve, not by leaps and bounds, but improve nonetheless to compete year in and year out with UGay, Bama, LSU, and even F$U if they make a decent hire. I was 100% sold on Mullen, right up until the first half of the UGay game, now I’m not nearly as sold on him as THE guy that’ll get us back to playing for and winning championships.

That’s not to say he’ll never beat UGay, hell Zook and Butters both had winning records against them, but they weren’t the same UGay teams either. He’ll do just fine against inferior competition, ie: Tennessee, Vandy, some shytty team from the west like Cowbell, Arky or Ole Piss, struggle against teams with somewhat similar talent like SC, Kentucky and Mizzou, if the recruiting doesn’t improve.

I think that’s where most folks like Ox, Donk, Durty, and others are coming from, and I completely understand.

He has done absolutely nothing that Butters didnt do, except have Willie on the schedule.

I of course don't agree with this, unless you're talking about recruiting, which is similar.

Mullen has worked tirelessly, Butters did not. He didn't give two sh!ts by the end of his first year at UF.

Im talking about "winning 10 games" that many bray about constantly.

Anything else is subjective. Slightly better offense, worse defense.

Similiar recruiting, which is in and of itself embarrassing because butters was too lazy to even try. what does it say to be just as incompetent as him?

no one outside of Gator pumperdom is even slightly scared of a Dan Mullen team.

right now we're fighting desperately to steal players from Kentucky and Georgia Tech. that says it all.

yes if we were building a better with roster I will be a little more patient. I do actually like the guy more then I ever thought I would.

it doesn't matter, his third straight loss to Georgia will be self-correcting. We are a new coach and three years of elite recruiting away from competing with them.
