There is literally no level of despair that those :nole: could reach that would be low enough in my opinion

Yep. His name is also being mentioned for all the SEC openings.

FSU fans are still hanging on hope that the clutchlikemj clown now going by eyedoctor is right about Stoops.
Solid enough, teams seem to improve a bit under him, but wouldn't we go nuts if the Gators hired him? Doesn't compute.

The SEC openings are Ole Miss, Arkansas and Missouri. I'm not saying he's terrible, but no, fans here or at places like Ala, uga, Lsu, etc would not be happy with his name swirling. And considering fsu already botched things with the WT hire, this is their "McElwain round". A miss here, or even just someone who doesn't spark interest, would be disastrous.

On a positive note, for those players/recruits and their parents who felt race was an issue with WT's firing, I'm sure hiring a 60 year white guy who's a relative unknown and is currently sitting with a losing record at his current job, will completely soothe that fear.

Two main reasons I don't think anything is even remotely close. One, if they knew they had a splash hire to be announced any time now, I can't imagine they'd allow recruits to leave and or move on with their interest. Even Stricklin had UF people reaching out and insinuating something(someone) big soon to be announced. I remember Corral and others felt that there were hints of Kelly or Frost. It was very vocal. The noles, to my knowledge have not done that. I imagine someone like Knighton would've been asked to sit tight, even as a decommit, and that he'd have an answer to the uncertainty very soon.

Secondly, they've allowed player-favorite Haggins to interview and even feel as if he may have a real shot. If the AD was allowing this to happen, while knowing he was very far along in talks with a Stoops/Franklin type name, that would be a slap in his face and to the players.

Anything's possible, and I'm not saying it's over for them yet. I just don't think anything's even close yet, especially on a big hire.

Urg posted the endzone painting tweet in the box today and we all got a good laugh out of it. So.... painting the endzone for the new coach is now the thing. :lmao2:

I figured the circus was simply in town.

My thought was Campbell. But, Campbell wants the Michigan job. If he thinks Boogers will be gone after another loss to OSU, he'll turn down the fsu job. Also, there has been smoke about the Indiana coach.
