Not sure I like anyone from the "Mullenzes" tree. Not only is Johnson unproven, at best, he maybe called the offense for one year in his career. That's when we had the best passing QB since Grossman, and had the best TE to play in gator uniform. I would definitely need far more data than to go hire a massive disaster.
If I was the AD, I would immediately send "feelers" to Joe Brady, Venables, and a few other names on my list. Drop 8million + salary and see what I get back. If there is a firm no, I would hold on to Mullen for a little bit longer. Would rather "Richt-it" out for a couple of more years with Mullenzes until we have a home-run hire than end up with a WillllLLLLLLLLLIE type of hire that could set us back to Inbred levels or worse, Criminoles levels.

Exactly. Dude is tainted with backed-up sh*tter stank. Consider the source of the suggestion. Danhating Donk's most cherished quality in a UF HC is that he sucks and can provide fodder for endless complaints. That's why he pretends to like SOS so much -- just overcompensating for his secret resentment of the HBC's winning ways. After Bob Pruett got fired, poor Donkers had nothing to talk about during that era. His life was empty. :(

I'm a Joe Brady fan but why does he get more credit for LSU's big offensive year than Brian Johnson gets for UF’s?I mean Johnson had the OC title and has more years of experience as an OC and just like Brady, Johnson is having success in the NFL too. The reason I'd give Johnson the nod of Brady is the whole system wouldn't have to change and there wouldn't be a mass exodus of players in the portal. We don't know how Brady is as a recruiter beings that he was at LSU for only one year but we know Johnson is. If you think about it, Johnson actually checks more boxes than Brady. Again, I'm a Joe Brady fan and if that's the direction we went I'd be happy. But I'm just curious as to why he gets so much more love from some folks.

Simple; there’s a bunch of folks who still seem to think CDM is some sort of offensive guru and thus he gets the credit for last year. No one has any delusions about the Ogre.

Because of what he has done in Carolina, the Panthers were a complete garbage talent wise last year and their offense was respectable. This year he has taken a Darnold who was made garbage and shell shock from Adam Gase and he has been above average. Also he is from the Sean Payton/Bill Parcels tree.

I see Swamp Donkey is really shooting for the stars with his pick for the next coach. If we're swooning over a career QB coach why don't we go really big. I say we go after that short chunky guy with the square head who stood on the sidelines for years signaling plays in for Spurrier. I Still don't understand why he was wearing shoulder pads, you'd think he'd of gotten the hint he was never going in after his 7th or 8th year.
