Over 36 hours, one foolish program got a 60 year old Coach who could never win the big one, let alone dominate the SEC while coaching for a team living on last century's accomplishments. Another landed a coach with four big 12 titles who could never win a national championship, let alone playoff games (all three losses) and was eliminated this year (some say scared of the SEC move of his former team.) C'mon, that excerpt makes it seem like the article was critical of the hire. The part that came right after the part you quoted is what set the tone for the rest of the piece:

If you measure success in social-media buzz, then UF came up short. Far short.

But success at Florida, LSU and Southern Cal is measured in championships.

And there’s a chance Napier delivers the most of them all.

I don't read anything from that rag. They were instrumental back in the 80s for bringing Galen Hall down for trying to help a player out with his child support.

Has anyone resurfaced the story about the Notre Dame student that died somewhat due to the actions of one Brian Kelly?

I hope everyone realizes that had this happened anywhere other than Notre Dame Mr Kelly would be in prison right now rather than relocating to Baton Rouge.

But then again, truth is an unpopular concept these days so I must be mistaken.
