Outside LB....
Give him a sandwich. Give him a hundred sandwiches.
That's definitely the type of linebacker we would sign. Then we can plan on putting 60 lbs on him and moving to middle linebacker, bc we dont actually play outside LBs in our "3-4" system at all, one is replaced by a nickel/star and one is replaced by a Rush and surely he wont be a rush.

Well he's only a Jr. so he could put on some weight between now and then. Rated high, from a big Miami school, so you know competition is good. I'd be willing to wait a year and see what happens.

Actually, he looks like a good prospect. (I did not recall he was previously committed to us). High 4*, number 1 LB in his class, and a great offer list. I'd be willing to bet that 195# stat was from camps before his junior year. Some age and some special attention from Savage and he could easily become SEC linebacker sized.

I believe the quality of the guys, and at the positions they play, we are bringing in and and getting committed is getting better. I am not changing my status to pumper unless they all sign on the line that is dotted and get into school. As we have mentioned over and over again, this is a critical recruiting class in the trenches. Next year will really hurt on the field paying the tax on Butters ignoring those key areas, so we need as much beef as possible. More, more, more.

Not that it matters since the commitment apparently didn’t happen but I heard the same thing from a different source. Defensive side of the ball, committed elsewhere, but not Tim Smith. I guess it was nothing.
