Only because of Title IX. Otherwise, don't think for a second that there wouldn't be a men's team here.

Yep. That goes for lacrosse as well. Gotta have the same number of scholarships for women as for men.

Damn liberals. We'll just have to field a women's football team.

So does Brazil show up for the consolation match?
I'm sure they will. I would also think the team would be motivated to play well after that last beatdown.

There's also the money motivation. The third place team earns several million more than 4th place.

Although they'll have their best defender back from suspension, it's unlikely that Brazil will be able to get their **** together in just a few days. Holland is just a better team. I'd be pretty surprised if Brazil comes out on top. Nonetheless, it should be an interesting (and hopefully more competitive) game.

I don't have a good feel for the match. I thought they would be playing Argentina. I'm just hoping for an entertaining contest.

Is this just a replay of the last Brazil match?

That stadium looks like Neyland in the fourth quarter when the gators are in town. Half the seats are empty.

I really don't know **** about soccer. That being said even a layman can observe and see patterns. Germany is very organized. They play well as a team. They'e like a gang of point guards who know how to pass the ball to each other for a better percentage shot on goal. On the other hand Argentina excels at playing team defense. They also have their own Michael Jordan in Messi. If he's in the zone and the Gauchos play good D, look out. If Hans n Franz play flawlessly as a team and take good shots, don't cry for me Argentina.

Coming up on the 90th minute with no score. Argentina had a goal taken away early because of offsides.
