So I take it that none of the UAB linemen were worth picking up so at to have a 2 deep rotation? Seems they should of had a few serviceable backups with game experience.

:rolleyes: I love it when the boardgroupthink comes up wit iideas like "we'll just go rob UAB of all that excellent talent they had from a last place Sun Belt team". No, they aren't worth picking up, because they played for UAB.

CaribGator : UAB had a RS freshman 3*OL 6'3"… 325 lbs. was all state jr & sr year in HS (Tenn).
Their 2 other 300+ OLs were juniors.
They had a sophomore RB that ran 103 yards vs Miss. State and 90 yards vs Arkansas.
We should have at least looked at that Fr. OL. ??

It's understood that if they were at UAB that they weren't 4 & 5 star players, but most Oline players are 3 stars anyway. And a few them refine their game, progress and make it to the pro. They had Mcants in 2013, Hubbard in 2014 make the NFL, so their coach there seemed to do a decent job and maybe had a couple more progressing well too. We are still thin at that position and it was a thought.

Carib, you make good sense (considering our thinness at OL.) To look-shop there could have a possible payoff at OL
& maybe another position ? None of those players were let loose 'cause they weren't playworthy.
