A commitment? This is what that felt like.

Maybe we can do some magic to get him qualified if this is really an issue.

This morning took a noticeably positive turn. Guess we filed those waivers after all. Hopefully this flip and these transfer confirmations convince a few other blue chips to come on down.

I hope he has no issue getting qualified. That would really be a waste of efforts.

This is the best news day for us in quite a while!

Two stud WR's and a flip! I'll take it!

Plus we can all feed @Swamp Donkey a sh*t sandwich! :D
Yea, he’ll probably say something like “still should’ve been sooner”.Already commented on the grade issues.

Welcome! Does he have grade problems?

Many recruits have grade problems. What we know about Black now is:

1. UF's admissions cleared him to visit. (In the past we have seen guys who ultimately signed and enrolled in other SEC schools not get cleared to visit UF. This usually has to do with core GPA and how to count the grade in retaken failed courses.)

2. UF thinks he has enough of a chance to qualify to extend him an offer and take his commitment.

Gotcha. We've had guys not qualify in the past. IMHO, you take him regardless if you think he's going to or not just to create buzz and momentum.

Brings us up to #26 in 247 composite. Drops Ole Miss to #15, but they've got 21 3*/26 total commits.

Ive never heard of a grade issue until today and dont know any validity to the allegation.

It is the kind of thing Muhsippi people message board people say when a kid flips.

Was referring to the “magic required” in the last quote. Still, fairly positive for you.

Does anyone think that maybe there were in fact more silent commits and this was timed with the Jefferson/Grimes announcements to jump start us?

I would be surprised if we did not have some that will be released at just the right time.

Incredibly poor recruiting work by this staff, so far. Leads me to believe they were lazy at Miss St and developed no ties in the Southeast so they are basically starting from scratch. The state of Mississippi has some very good players this cycle but our staff cannot get them to UF. Meanwhile Miss St's new coach is recruiting as well or better than Mullen's staff did while there. Credibility? Tennessee's new, unproven staff is having little problem bringing in a solid class and that's probably because they had been working hard at recruiting where they were so they have credibility even if at a different school. fsu's new coach has a terrible record but it's not stopping them from landing players.

In a word, pitiful.

We wish.

You were saying?

Yes I do. It’ll be interesting to see if anything else happens today. That said, it’s nice to have a day of positive news for once.

Additionally, our skill positions on offense are among the strongest in the SEC right now. If the OL can turn the corner and one of our QBs can be even remotely useful, our offense has a chance to make a decent improvement this year.
