Hey just asking.....are we or are we not allowed to have recruits at the cane game? Since it's a neutral site .... I forgot the answer

Saw this earlier:

2019 Classes:

Clemson: Signed 29 (7 from Florida)
Alabama: Signed 27 (4 from Florida)
Oklahoma: Signed 24 (2 from Florida)
Georgia: Signed 24 (5 from Florida)

Keep a few of those 18 players and things start to look a lot better around here.
They are killing us.

There was always the odd kid who left us back in the day but 20 of the top 25 and 40 of the top 50 went to UF, Clowntown, or scUM.

Now it is rare for us to even land one of the top 50 in the state. No one is even looking at us if they are first or second tier players from our own damn state.

Here is a breakdown in how Meyer, Mullen, and Mac compared in recruiting in state talent.

Meyer:

2004: no info for 2004 class
2005: 1 of top 20
2006: 4 of top 20
2007: 9 of top 16
2008: 3 of top 20
2009: 3 of top 20
2010: 9 of Top 25 (This class was a mess other than Elam, Chaz Green, Jaylen Watkins, and Cody Riggs - other 5 were: Silberman, Dunkley, Gerald Christiansen, Orr, Lynden Trail, Quentin Dunbar)

Mullen
2018: 0 of top 20
2019: 4 of top 20
2020: (this year) 3 of 20 (still in it for 2 others and for #21 Dumervill)

As for Mac

2015: 2 of top 20 (Both of them, Ivey and CeCe were already heavy leans)
2016: 2 of 20 (Gardner and Franks)
2017: 2 of 20 (James Robinson never played)

Not sure how the math worked out (actually have ten names listed), but while I'll give you Dunkley, and Trail, the others, while perhaps not reaching their potential weren't all bad. Dunbar was actually a decent player who is still in the NFL, though he switched to DB - his numbers as a WR weren't great, but that may have been more of a reflection of our offense than his skill set. Silberman was a decent back up who may have started his last season had he not decided to transfer with Tyler Murphy to BC. He made All ACC, was drafted, and was on the practice squad for several NFL teams. Orr was a decent back up until he got sideways with Chimp and quit - he got his feelings hurt when he wasn't named a starter. Christian (not Christiansen) was a pretty decent TE who transferred after Chimp tried to make him a linebacker. He had a good career at Louisville (all ACC his Sr. year) and was drafted by Arizona - though barely; he was "Mr. Irrelevant." He tore his MCL in the last pre-season game and that was pretty much that.

I’m confused. I thought the recruiting services were biased at rating players.
I just don’t know who to believe anymore.
Yeah he couldn't win at Cowbell because he couldn't get any talent so he cant be expected to beat Saban (true), but now that he's at UF he doesn't need any talent to beat Saban (lulz).

We got it.
