CJ Smith having surgery again. Normally missing most of your HS career would be a bad thing but at least Mullinz knows no other team will take a chance on him.

Dan thinks you may be on to something to keep this class together.

The Spivey mailbag is about as negative as that pumper ever gets. If he is playing down the class and talking crap about the staff being disorganized, be assured it is an utter ****show behind the scenes. Eddie isn’t going to fix that mess with a new DC.

What would the opposite of recruiting be? Chasing? Wow we aren't looking very good in this area and not really sure where we are going to make up ground in this years class.

The funny thing is even the few 4 stars we have are so low ranked they dont count much more than a high 3 star. Just a bunch of guys the scouts project as P5 depth.

Only two medium 4 stars. Zero high 4 stars or 5 stars.

Like always. Repeat the chorus. Dan is 3 star whisperer, dont need no talent.

The Scott Frost situation is something to watch. They're giving him (at least) one more year, after likely finishing this year at 3-9. He fired 4 offensive coaches (one of the hang ups about him coming to UF was he wanted to bring his entire UCF staff w/ him and was supposedly told he couldn't do that). So, they're in a situation that we'll be in if Mullen is retained - bringing in new assistant coaches, on multi-year deals, who will be paid a buyout if Mullen is fired after the 2022 season. But, unlike what Frost just did, I highly doubt Mullen would restructure his contract (i.e. take a pay cut, lower the buyout).

So far both Frost and Jim Harbaugh, were smart enough to take paycuts due to performance... ours takes a raise.

Jim Harbaugh is actually having a good year, only losing a close one to Mich State. He was grossly over paid when they signed him, but he was hyped up coming from the NFL, former player, and hopeful savior. They've had a couple of good seasons, but at this point he's similar to Richt at UGA. I wonder how much longer they'll stick with him, especially if he doesn't beat Ohio State soon.

One of Nebraska's analysts that will take over for the fired OL coach is Frank Verducci - he was Muschamp's first OL at UF in 2011 and got fired because he interviewed for an NFL job (I think, maybe w/ the Jets. Check out where he ended up after UF). Look at this career path, it's worse than a career military officer (number of moves):

Frank Verducci - Senior Offensive Analyst - Football Coaches - University of Nebraska

2018-20: Nebraska, Senior Offensive Analyst
2017: UCF, Offensive Analyst

2005: Buffalo Bills, Assistant Coach (Offensive Line)
2004: Buffalo Bills, Assistant Coach (Tight Ends/Assistant Offensive Line)
2002: Dallas Cowboys, Assistant Coach (Offensive Line)
2001: Cincinnati Bengals, Assistant Coach (Tight Ends/Assistant Offensive Line)
