I was thinking it might bite us in the ass when Austin Kelly opted to go pro, but it looks like we are a bit more than one arm away.

Cags goes 3 up 3 down in the first. No K's which is okay by me. Wind blowing in today. St. Marys has 8 right handed hitters so a good challenge for Cags today.

Nothing for UF in the 1st though Cags walked and Shelton was hit on the side of the knee with a fastball. Would not be surprised if he comes out later or takes mid week off. That looked painful.. Maybe will see Albert at SS for the wrong reason. St, Mary's starter is about 6'9" or so he looks and weighs about 120 LBS soaking wet.

Nothing for St. Mary's in 2nd. 2 K's for Cags and one walk, who was then caught stealing. But more pitches in that inning.

2-0 Gators. Thomas walks, Garrison doubles to left, Robertson doubles to right scoring both. Still 1 out in 2nd. Interestingly all 4 outs by the Gators so far are strikeouts., but not surprising. Kurland and Heyman fly out, in between a Cags intentional walk.

Cags K's the side on 16 pitches. Livable if you K the side but does allow pitch count to elevate.

Gators go down in order. 2-0 after 3 innings.

Cags walks the leadoff hitter in 4th. K's the next hitter and runner caught stealing on same play. K;s the next hitter. Time to try and get some more runs, just in case our bullpen pitches to form later.

Thomas singles, advances to 2B on groundout, Kurland gets hit on his other hand that kept him out a bit, Cags cues an infield single, bases loaded. Heyman singles to CF, scoring 2. 4-0 Gators. String Bean out, lefty coming in to face Shelton. Runners on the corners, 2 outs. Shelton grounds out.

Who’d Cags work with this offseason? His command so far looks much improved.

I know it wasn’t Sully and co

St. Marys down in order. Cags 76 pitches thru 5 innings, so guess Sully will be ecstatic if he can get one more then turn it over to Slater and Neely (while keeping his fingers crossed)

Evans singles to CF, Shelnut, wind aided double to right center, Thomas gets hit, bases loaded. Thomas been on base all three at bats so far. Garrison grounds into DP, Evans scores. 5-0. Robertson strikes out. That fizzled quickly but Garrison not in the game for his hitting. He his our best defensive catcher and has thrown out 2 base stealers today, so just not striking out and getting one run in is okay.

Cags K's the first hitter, then issues back to back walks to the next 2 hitters, but get a DP on a sharply hit grounder to 3B. 6 innings pitched, ZERO hits, 4 walks, 91 pitches. I am okay if they pull him given ATM comes to town next weekend.

Gators go out in order. Cags robbed of a double by LF on a nice catch. Probably or maybe a HR if wind not blowing in. Cags back to the mound. I am a little surprised. I know St. Marys has no hits, but SEC play is more important. Perhaps Sully feels about his bullpen the was the GC baseball crowd does?

Slater induces a DP but then a hanging curve ball yields a single and St. Marys first hit. Then a flyout. 5-0 Gators

Shelton singles, Evans doubles to left, Shelton scores, Evans safe at 3B on the throw to home with a tremendous slide. 6-0.

Shelnut 2 run HR to right center. 8-0
