Anyone else worried about the prospect of playing UCF in a New Year's 6 bowl?

Describe the aura of evil.

I shutter to think about it.
It was at a Gator Club. He was signing autographs. When it came my turn I asked him to sign a football. Maybe I didn't say please. He looked at me for a moment. With a cold reptilian stare. The hair in the back of neck stood up. I felt him judge me. "You worthless ****, you've never amounted to anything and you never will. I use to beat up kids like you two at a time on the playground." His lips didn't move but I heard it just the same.
I'm relatively sure he stole my soul that night.

That's nothing. I tried to speak to him once when he was taking a leak in the urinal next to me. It didn't go well.

What to say to Urban Meyer when you're taking a piss together. You probably want to remind him to shake it three times before he grabs the esophagus.

I met a good portion of the staff when they flew into little Lakeland Linder Airport on a recruiting trip for the Gator-naughts. All of the staff (but one) were super nice and I spoke with Charlie Strong at length as he drove down ahead of the others. I learned, among other things, that Strong’s wife was from Lakeland....yada yada yada. I offered to “escort” the whole gang over to the YMCA to meet the players. Charlie accepted and I did just that. Guess which coach didn’t speak to me....I spoke to him, he looked at me and turned away....Charlie just gave me a sour look and shook his head as if to say....”that’s Urban”....

That's disappointing but not shocking. Some people never stop being who they are. Others change.

A wise man once said:

"No matter how much you shake and dance, those last two drops go in your pants."

What's funny is not a single one of us would have given a damn about these stories when he was dominating on our sideline.

I met Charlie Strong briefly after he was hired at USF. Mentioned I was a big Gator fan and thanked him for stomping OSU's overrated offense in '06. He smiled and said that was a good night. Seemed like a nice guy.

I've always liked Charlie Strong. His timing was always off for UF HC.

I find it interesting that a lot of you guys are saying that we won't be like Auburn who didn't have anything to play for and will be fired up if we play a bowl game against UCF. That would beg the question of why the F**K weren't we "fired up" AT HOME when we actually had something to play for against Kentucky and Mizzou?

Before we hired him as head coach Mullen had a reputation for being an A hole just like Meyer I think. I wonder if he just changed or if he is just an A hole to the people that actually have to work with the team and the athletic department. He hasn't came off that way since he became our head coach. I thought I read a lot of the boosters didn't care for Mullen's attitude either when he was here as an assistant.

I heard the same thing when he was at Miss St. I did not want him at UF...But I am pleased so far. I like the guy.

Tebow sure likes the guy.
