It's already been reported the Bucs want to see what they have in Mayfield. If they thought Trask could be the guy, they wouldn't have brought in Mayfield in the first place. Even if Trask outplays Mayfield in the preseason, he'll be heading to bench for Week 1.

Mayfield SUCKS and has proven it for multiple teams now. It's just classic NFL revolving-door BS. They love to do it with QB's and head coaches.
:exactly: How many teams in the last couple of years Mayfield has been on?? PLENTY! He'll get injured or play himself out. Trask gets a shot, lights it up and the Buc's Bowles has his Mullen Moment. "We believed in Kyle the whole time, we knew he could win."

Latest from Buc's camp: An un-named source says Trask is a slow learner...... Translated, he's not very smart. .....

"Coach Todd Bowles said they won't name a starter until sometime during the preseason, which gets underway Aug. 11 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He wouldn't reveal a date, but Bowles has communicated it to the coaching staff, and in the meantime, Mayfield and Trask will alternate first-team reps."

Bowles is responsible for costing them the 2021 superbowl. I wanted him fired all the way back then. Diversity hire. He knows how to blitz. Sure it makes some flashy sacks. But it gets burned all the time.

Hmmmm who does that sound like

Here is what one anonymous NFL general manager had to say.

“Mayfield moves well enough, throws well enough, does some things well enough but possesses no special ability,” a GM said. “He may win you a game because he may run around and people aren’t prepared, but at the end of the day, he is just a backup, in my opinion.”

It just took a couple of days for Kyle to really settle in, and then what we saw is, the last two practices Kyle really showed what he can do: stretching the field with his arm, getting the ball out quickly, making decisions.

The Bucs desperately want Mayfield to be the guy, so if Trask actually gets named the starter, it's going to be one serious reflection on how God-awful he really is.

Mayfield would probably have to knock up the coaches daughter to not get named qb1. That's how pathetic and stupid the BUCS staff is.

As to the “knocking up”…
Given the fact that Bowles has three sons, this would certainly accelerate Mayfield not being named QB1.
