It’s the NFL and a terrible retread head coach. I expect the depth chart looks something like this.

Mayfield
Older McCown brother
Charlie Batch
Younger McCown brother(if needed)
Trask
And after several of those guys get hurt, a late season signing of Ryan Fitzpatrick to start the last few games.

You know it took me years before I realized the McCown brothers weren't the same mother****er. Seriously

Trask is used to sitting on the bench and watching people that are not as good as he is get the starting job.

I stand by what I said, asshat.

If Mayfield is named the starter, you get two months off. If Trask is named the starter, you get one month off.

Makes perfect sense!

Currently depth chart on TB team website has both Mayfield and Trask slotted as QB1.

Eisen made a good point, when he asked, "who is it easier to pull?"

Easier for the organization to start with Mayfield and then pull him for Trask than vice verse.

I think Trasks hang up is he isn't the vocal leader some others are.
But I also think if he gets the opportunity on the field for an extended period, he'll make the most of it and become more of a leader as he settles in.

Mayfield is a total clown and he sucks. You know what you're getting with him. At his best, hell win a few games but likely embarrass the org. At worst he'll be a disaster and take shots at everyone in pressers and on social media, then sit and demand a trade thru back channels. BUCS deserve everything that comes if they put him in.
