Good lord I just looked up Driskel's ypg in high school and college for the first time. HS-139. College-117.

You know, part of the reason Driskel (and the guys who were interviewed in the anonymous interview article) thought throwing for 100 yards was acceptable was because their coach told them it was so.

If Grier isn't the starter I will be very surprised. He just has way more up side as far as intangibles go. I believe had he not chosen to redshirt already last year, he would have been starting. Bet his dad had the feeling going in that WM may be gone.

I'm past the issue of potential, I want the best player (results) on the field, at every position.

My only concern about Grier is his size. I know when he came to Florida he was like 15 "Big Macs" shy of 200 lbs. If he beefed up from that time, I beleive he will be the starter. He has the skill set that I think Mac is looking for.

I think he needs to be around 215-220. My reasoning being is that it may take the Oline to play up to what we need to protect him, and that weight will only help him.

I hope he can become what people are talking about but I also know the odds of these high rated high school QBs panning out in college are pretty low - like 20%. I do think Harris has a big advantage to win the job having already played as a true freshman.

No he wasn't considering what he was put into. We lose to TN without him and would have beat LSU if he was in there most likely.

Well Roper said that he threw to where that receiver should have sat down at due to the safety in that FSU game.

Go back and watch the games, he couldn't hit the broad side of the barn. He basically got pulled against freaking eastern Kentucky because he was 3-12. He's not accurate, has a weaker arm than morningwood and isn't the best decision maker off the field.
