I was listening to the Steve Russell show on WRUF today while driving to Gville. I can only listen when close to Gville as the AM signal sucks. Teevens, the coach at Dartmouth, has invented some damned robot tackling dummy that works. He said he was watching his kid play with a remote control vehicle and wondered if he could make something to tackle that moved the same way. He has something that moves at a 4.7 speed in the 40. Weighs I think 180 or 220 and is harder to track than a real human being that can be tackled. He say they dont have to tackle in practice on humans because this works better and ENDS most injuries. And when they finally play a game his guys are much better tacklers because they get more tackling practice with fewer injuries and are so damned excited to tackle the opposing team they miss VERY few tackles. Teevens talks long and hard that Russell never got a word in edgewise............anyone heard of this futuristic football practice technique.......?
