Vertical construction, especially highrise is exponentially less complicated with successive load bearing members being repetitive and faster than a multistory rambling structure, hence much more cost effective. I would assume the all in one will be a red-iron construct due to cost.

Empire State Building was the tallest building in the world for decades and was built in less than a year. Strange how times have changed.

Exactly, lot and lots of government regulations like environmental impact studies that slow down the start of a project and even more government regulations that slow down the progress of a project.

I was thinking building code has improved in the last 80 years, but sure, we can make a non-political statement political if you like.

My statement was not political. My statement was factual. Some of the regulations particularly for safety might be a good idea other regulations of course just make projects slower to be completed and more expensive.

I bet it took as long to place the foundation of the Empire State Building as it did to put the 100 floor structural framing in the air. Environmental impediments mostly come into play during the planning and permitting stages. The construction methods haven't changed much in 100 years

Your line of factual truths is clearly far over the heads of many here.

Poster on tide fans.com claiming "inside sources" says as of 12pm today Kelly deal is still on and it's just a matter of ironing out extensive details of the contract. This coincides with what others have said/heard here.

You seem to know about this. The baseball stadium is a complicated structure with angles and overhangs etc. The all-in one was a rectangular building with mostly interior offices and some open spaces. If the baseball stadium can be constructed in 40 weeks could the all-in-one be done that fast?

How much does a car weigh? It's hard to judge without seeing conceptual drawings. The baseball stadium is possible I would guess. If the football dream is anything like Oregon's my answer is no.

Guys, listen, I've been involved with some much smaller organizations than UAA at which the ceo never touched or likely didnt know about twitter. I can guarantee you that interns/staffers run that twitter.

He doesn't even know the password, no doubt.

He took a selfie?
