Corch gets it. Confederate flag had nothing to do with racism and everything to do with northern elitist who looked down on everything southern.

Bullish!t. Complete horsesh!t. I’ve lived in the South all my life and have never been accused of being a liberal, so northern elitism has nothing to do with it. Nice narrative to tell yourself, though.

I know some of you younger folks don't remember but we played "Dixie" every game, the band was nicknamed the "Biggest Boom in Dixie," and we had a fraternity that road through the campus every year in Confederate uniforms waving pistols around and shooting into the air (blanks). If you didn't stand up for "Dixie" you risked life and limb.

So this is a great look for the Main Sports Forum. Reflects well on UF and everybody here.

That certainly didn't stop you or Sas from taking an armchair quarterback stance with your reactions to the original posting of the pic.

Those were in fact different times with different perspectives. I'll bet if you asked any of the attendees still alive today, they'd express remorse over what they took part in. They were likely young, impressionable and ignorant more than outward racists.

Irony of ironies, you and Sas take the cake for judgmentalism.

Looks like we both gave the original post with that picture a facepalm, so what in the everlasting f*ck are you talking about?
