So here's why I love baseball.
UC-Santa Barbara finished 3rd in their conference. They've never even been to a Super Regional, let alone the actual World Series. They won the first game against #2 Louisville, but were down 3-0 in the 9th in game 2. With the bases loaded, they send a freshman up who had only 26 AB's all year and only 1 home run to face Louisville's closer, a 1st round draft pick who hasn't blown a save all year. Then the kid turns on a hanging changeup on a 1-2 count (major mistake by the pitcher), and takes it deep for a walk-off grand slam.
