I'm surprised I haven't seen a thread like this yet with the season a week away...yea, can you believe the season is only a week away?
Anyways, last year before Colorado State we had a get together and what bit I was there was a great time. Fill out the poll above, you can select multiple choices as some people may be available several weeks. (If this is being worked out and I don't know about it I apologize; if somehow there's a thread, I didn't see it)
Where I think the kickoff times may line up if that matters for you:
9/7 UT Martin - We do know that this game is slated for a 7:30 pm kick so plenty of time to tailgate and have some fun.
9/21 UT - Very good chance this gets a night game. Notre Dame at Georgia has the 8 pm slot (taking one of CBS' double header slots for the year) and I think that Auburn at A&M would get the 3:30 slot. However, there is a legitimate chance Florida and Tennessee are undefeated while Auburn and A&M both have a loss going into the weekend.
9/28 Towson - Only 6 SEC games this weekend, thinking we would get the 4:00 pm on SEC Network and Vandy getting the SEC+ treatment. If not, perhaps we get night game and Vandy 4:00pm. Give a decent SEC matchup noon, CBS at 3:30, Vandy 4, and ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU with 2 night games.
10/5 Auburn - Georgia/Tennessee or Florida/Auburn will get 3:30 with the other getting prime time. BUT we could see if Ox comes in Gators gear or one of those sewn together jerseys half-Florida and half-Auburn.
11/9 Vandy- Looking at the slate...I would be shocked if this is another Vandy noon game. Seems like almost every Vandy game in the last 20 years was at noon with few exceptions. Very few intriguing match-ups that weekend. UGA-Mizzou at 3:30 and Bama-LSU at 8 is almost automatic. The Kentucky-Tennessee slap fight probably gets ESPN and one of the two non-conference games ends up "competing" with LSU-Bama in prime time. The others get the SECN noon and 4 treatment.
11/30 FSU- This is Thanksgiving weekend. Probably most won't want to do it here, but could be fun. Also, wouldn't be shocked for a third straight noon kickoff in this one. Although prime time might happen.
Anyways, we can work it out. Always a good time to get together, throw a football, eat some food, and talk the Gators.
