He was better as a blond!

Actually he wasn’t

He was bad this season from the very beginning.
Many of us thought he would snap out of the funk once he lost the peroxide but we were wrong.

Is he still kneeling for the anthem?
Nothing quite like bad karma.

Mark richt???

A mark richt basketball coach would get you in the tournament every year, make it to the sweet 16 every three years or so, and have one really nice run to the final four every 10 years or so before choking when it mattered.

I would love to have a mark richt coach for basketball. We don't even have a dan mullen. We have ourselves a ron zook with a derek dooley personality.

Thanks Sporks.

My thoughts exactly

For the first time I think there is a very small chance this is it for White. Doubtful....but a sliver of a chance.

I wonder if there is ANY chance he would step down? He’s connected and could quickly land something and avoid the heat he’s about to experience. Mann leaves and Lewis and Payne transfer....He’s looking at a near total rebuild.

Maybe?

He can take that dumbass AD with him when he goes and I ain't talking about his brothers.
What we need now is someone to pop positive for Covid in about 3 days and put this baby to bed.

There is absolutely 0 chance he is gone. He gets at least one more year. If we had gotten knocked out in the first round of the tournament last year (which we almost certainly would have) then MAYBE, just maybe he would be gone after this year. Covid and keyontaes injury saved his ass. Maybe even for two more years.

There was just an article on the sun like a week ago about how well he did this year with what he had...wtf??? You mean the 3-4 nba prospects still left on the roster after the Johnson injury are just good enough to put us on the bubble?? If we had keyontae we would have been a 7 seed instead of a bubble team and that's some sort of great accomplishment?

I'm infuriated that espn commentators and the sun have oohed and awed over what he has done this year. Wow yeah it's soooo impressive to go 13-9 with a bunch of four and five star basketball players.

The guy might eventually be able to go somewhere and be good. He does make some nice adjustments in the games SOMETIMES. But he obviously has not been able to develop talent. Until he learns how to do that or hires an assistant coach that can do it for him, he's gonna be just another mediocre coach.

Lewis has regressed to a shell of a basketball player. From a lottery projection to maybe not even getting drafted. Payne- no improvement. Castleton- regression as the season has gone along. Locke, still a liability if he isn't sinking 3s and probably barely better than he was as a freshman. Jitoboh- still a fatty. Fatter even. Duruji- lol. Appleby- sometimes good... not sure what position this guy even plays still. All our freshman- still barely serviceable at the end of the season.

Only guy to develop this year was mann, and you could see that happen throughout last season as well. Everybody else stayed the same or regressed. Horrible.

Ok,this is bull****! 22points in the first half and over in the 2nd. Wtf is going on? Did we run out different team after the break. Absolutely dumbfounding.
Where to start.. about how kicking White’s ass to the curb? If Stricnine has the balls to do this. If he can’t or won’t, kick his ass to the curb. Then it’s .time go after Fcuks. At some point in time the deep pockets need to step up and take control. Or are sporting events considered a social event to hobnob with one another?
Rant over. But still pissed off.

Unfortunately, none of the things you mentioned will happen. Fill in the blank excuses will be followed by the declaration of a renewed commitment from White and the role players that will be left after this season.
This will be followed by contract extension talk.

Did you catch that crap from Marty Smith during the Vandy game yesterday?

As a response to what he believes is unwarranted heat on White, he actually compared the win percentages of White and Donovan during their first 3 seasons in Gainesville as if to suggest that the two coaches inherited the same program which is beyond stupid.

Donovan inherited a roster that included maybe 4 Power Five caliber players while White inherited a roster good enough that even he took them to the elite eight.

In addition, why 3 seasons versus 4 or even 6?
Why? Because Billy had the program skyrocketing in year 4 and White has it going in the opposite direction once the Donovan players were gone.

This garbage, kindergarten level analysis is just what we should expect from the idiots at ESPN as they try to protect an insider.

Beleave it or not: White has regressed. One absolutely cannot lead young athletes by pout-coaching. White doesn't know what to do, so he pouts his players into a sludged mental outlook. White offers nothing to rally around. Additionally, he has zero energy. Where does a college coach go to get zero energy? Maybe to a dynasty family of paper shuffling ADs. Talk about White privilege!

He fails as a coach over & over. Season followed by season we get to watch no player development, no team-concept development. No-one & nothing learns winning. An entire program repetitively backslides. It is White's standard, so it is UF's standard. White is collapsing UF basketball. White's coming years will be worse. Gator fans will need repetitive Heimlichs to keep breathing this sludge.

Poor Tre Mann for having to play for this useless coach. Poor all players and all fans. Poor UF for having to pay for this non-coach.
How can AD-Stricklin allow this guy to continue torturing players, alumni, and fans? I doubt any high prospects sign with White going forward. Hire a high-winning % high school coach once you've seen that always his players improve their skills, and everyone fights to the hilt the whole game. White is a poacher and UF basketball is going extinct. Make White an ex-stinker.

I missed that... and it's sickening. But yeah I have heard the comparison with donovan before and it's laughable. We were a nobody in basketball before he showed up. He busted his ass and got talent, and developed the talent. Do you think Mike White could EVER get matt bonner developed enough to make it to the nba?

Hell, billy's players did so well for him that it would fool the nba scouts into thinking that jokers like donnell Harvey, anthony roberson, and matt walsh were good enough to leave early for the nba.

Mike whites name should never ever be compared to billy Donovan until he gets to multiple final fours. Billy's name will be on our court forever. I hope to forget Mike whites name as soon as possible.

White's seat is ice cold. The idea of him going anywhere is laughable.

Mullinz has a better chance of getting fired. They won't fire Whitey until he completely destroys everything Donovan built.

Still waiting for a comment on “are sporting events considered a social event for deep pockets. Let’s face it when the money speaks, everyone listens.
