I think the UK game cured me of that. If UF is going to be that bad, it honestly isn't worth getting worked up about it. There was certainly nothing there I could defend. I just got out of the way and let people wallow. Never even opened the "Billy is a stupid *****" thread (and still haven't). No point, at least for me. I'm just going to let people vent away and not interfere. I assume my mods will let me know if someone goes too far off the deep end.

I have no idea if this team will beat Vandy this week. That's what I currently think of the state of play. That game was such a failure of all three phases that it was almost a cartoon. I was seeing it and still couldn't believe it.

Any pay memberships, etc, have been suspended for this year. In the offseason, I'll determine if I want to create an additional paid tier or something for the 2024 season. Honestly, right this moment it seems like demanding money to talk about this team would be a felony, and I'd be hauled away in handcuffs for grand theft. If I had gone through with my pay-only plan (that would have started yesterday), there might be about 9 members left on the board after that game on Saturday.

I'll be doing my usual annual donation drive in November for those who may want to chip in a few bucks.

For what little it's worth, thanks to those who have put up with my cantankerousness for a while now. That performance took away any remaining expectations, so I actually feel a lot better.

Totally understand and feel the same way. Since Saturday I honestly myself after watching this team and I have no idea what to say. Speechless is more like it. No defending any of that shyt show we witnessed.

This place has been great for us. We've all fussed, cussed, disgust, and discussed at nauseum here. Taking a break is good along with all the venting on here and you have helped us do that. This is our sports bar and place to come to. We wouldn't have had it without your efforts. One thing is for sure, we all love our Gators. Just a really rough time now. We also at times forget it, but Thanks for all that you do keeping this thing going.

This was and has been my take since Saturday in the game, Cover and Truth threads. Glad the GNFP guys caught up - JK. Especially odd was that those missing assignments (and overall slower to fill) on D were our stars to date. Really hoping we bounce back on that side.

Is it out of the realm of possibility we are practicing "slow" so that we avoid injuries? It just appeared we were a step behind on defense and slow to move on offense.

Maybe, but I think the 11 am start was more impactful. 19 year old kids are not used to bringing legit, not just momentary rah rah energy at that time of day. UK was ready, and literally punched our LBs and corners in the mouth. Kimber seemed hungover still. Its game 5. They know game speed by now regardless of practice style.

I'd add and remind everyone about the starkville, nashville, and Lexington history of odd early in the day games, even for some of our best teams that just hung around or got a surprising win. We are just not good enough for that anymore and don't have an offensive style to bring us back into the game if we get 3 scores behind.
