It's weird the stuff that gets posted when you team is 4-4, just got prison raped by it's arch rival and you have a coach that you want so much to can and can't. It's just random "oh it's not the recruiting" or "dont diss the players cause that hurts their future ability to earn and it hurt recruiting". True enough, but is it really on the fan base to worry about that as opposed to.....I don't know...the administrators and coaches knocking down millions to do the kind of job they get paid to do? I have no interests in tearing down any of the players and in fact, I feel bad for the kids that came to UF and thought they were getting elite football instruction, would be competing at a high level and having a chance to play for championships and get a shot at the NFL. That's gotta feel like a fading dream for most of them.........and it ain't whats being said on Gatorchatter that's the reason. Just my 2c.
I agree for the most part but I no longer view the players as off limits for criticism due to NIL.
I was always a firm believer in the position that amateur athletes are immune to harsh criticism however I believe that now that they are paid above the table they are open for critique as well.
If you can promote your abilities for money then you can be criticized for not delivering on what was paid for. Be careful what you wish for players.
