I think you need to come down from the Witches Watch.....btw Bert is calling the Patriots defense and is killing it .
And to think he’s only making $50,000 per year from the Kraft organization.

A lot of freaking out over Mullen here which is expected after a loss, but this game comes down to the other team having more talent than we do. Could we have done better and won? Absolutely. But the difference was in the talent, we have to start paying players like Bama and UGA or we will always be second fiddle.
It is true: they do remove some of your brain when you make LCDR. Retirement will be good for you - might regrow some of that brain.More proof that "can't coach Kirby" out-coached the 'un-out-coachable' Dan Mullen.

And some venting about the players on defense. Sometimes players can overcome garbage coaching by making a play. Not ONE SINGLE defensive player stepped up and made a damn play all night. On that final 3rd down, all we needed was ONE GUY to tip the ball, something, MAKE A PLAY. Instead, nothing. There are no playmakers on this team, especially defense. What a major disappointment.
Every team has problems, but our biggest problem is talent level. All those third downs converted was a talent gap. Sad thing is, we are years away from bridging the gap even if we start getting top classes this year, which we aren’t.We are talent deficient in a lot of areas, but if we need that kind of "paid talent" to secure a first down when it is 2nd down and one inch before turning the ball over on downs, then we have more problems than talent alone.

No coach makes it through a game with zero head scratchers, or are you forgetting Kirby Dumb’s fake punt or the travesty that was the end of the USC game. Or do those not count now? Sober up.
That is exactly why we lost. Fromm kept making plays and no one on our D did, especially in the secondary.
It's easy to second-guess and blame the coaches, especially considering the money they're making, but someone had to get to Fromm and no one did, someone had to cover and defense passes and no one did, third down after third down.
Then there's the OL.
We need better players and more of them.
I like your posts and I am asking in all seriousness, I only remember one incomplete pass that they ruled a completion. Yes a bad call but you can't control that. Their RB #35 made a sensational catch if that is the other one? As far as them "taking" a 1st down from us, the replay showed that Perine was a bit short so they corrected it? Isn't that what you want, the calls to be correct? I thought the officiating was about as decent as can be hoped for in this day ecxept for the missed overturn on that no catch by UGA's #15. I am sure UGA is lamenting a holding call and/or a PI call is well.

Urbs is number1 on the list. Pj fleck is probably number 2 on the list. Not many guys I can think of that I'll be watching out for in the next 2 years. We're probably stuck with what we have until something better comes along.
Right path for what? Recruiting has been average, at best. And mullen has been outcoached twice in the past 3 games. I agree, it's better than the mcelwain years, but SEC championships are the goal for florida, not top 15 recruiting classes, and peach bowl wins
If the shoe fits...So basically, if Kirby doesn't win every game and doesn't go undefeated every year he's a bad coach? Got it. Just like Urban, running Tebow up the gut vs. Ole Miss. Now we have an plaque on the stadium wall of Tebow's "I'll play harder than anybody from now on" speech. Or any number of bad calls by Spurrier or Urban or Saban or any other coach w/ a ton of talent who called a play that didn't work or lost a game to a team w/ lesser talent. I said in another post, we're a missed gimme FG by Kentucky from having 3 losses. But Kirby made a dumb fake punt last year in a championship game and he's a bad coach. Hell, I just want to get to that championship game! I'd rather get to a championship game and see Dan make a bad call than NOT get there, while making a TON of bad calls (like today). That 7 minute 4th quarter TD drive was a thing of beauty though....right? But yeah, O4's w/ 30 years of service are dumbasses....
Ok so the only names I have seen to replace Mullen are Urban and PJ Fleck. Neither of which will come here so that doesn't cut it and will further set us back more because no one will want to come here if it means we fire the coach after less than 2 years. Recruiting in the toilet? Not really. When I think of recruiting in the toilet, I think of rankings in the 40s which we are no where near and then 3 win seasons and blown out every game which also hasn't happened. Hopefully Mullen can bring in some top recruits and get us into the top 10.
