I'm all for it. Building the Taj Mahal of baseball stadiums while the golden goose of the athletic department is burning in flames right in front of your eyes should be grounds for a firing, if not a lawsuit for derelict of duty. I would love nothing more than to see him escorted off the premises by university police and replaced with someone who puts football first.

Meyer hanging on after tapping out to let jazz hands “run” things was the start. Another Foleyism.

Meyer had his issues and left some things in disarray. But based on recruiting alone he absolutely did us a huge favor by sticking around one more season, even if a shell of himself. He gave Foley a full year to find a replacement and we still ended up with a buffoon who can’t ties his shoes. The only thing more scary than a rushed Foley head coaching hire would be those 2011/12 teams without several of the 2012 UF signees.

I hope all the dumpers read these articles. There is a lot more to a good football program than the record. Everyone who sat through Muschamp's 11-1 regular season should know that by now. I was on the fence with Mullen until his reaction after the game on the shoe-throw. I will remain on the fence with Napier until I can see us consistently beat Georgia, or until the program improvement ever gets stagnant and we keep losing to them every year, but I'm starting to think that stagnation may not happen with Napier. I certainly believe he's going to put everything he has into making us elite again. Some of you have written this guy off for nothing other than whatever your initial impression of him was (although I notice the slingblade references are finally dying down).

He also won 2 SEC and 2 National Championships, an era so spectacular we have a Nexflix series about it.
Yes he did and it was glorious. Watched first episode last night and was ready to run through a brick wall. Nobody is doubting the greatness of when he was on but its easy to understand how he burned out just from watching the intensity in him shown in the first episode.

He should start by not running out the clock at midfield 2 mins before the ****ing half, then I will start to have a better opinion on his in-game decision-making. Oh, and let someone else call the damn plays, bring in a real coordinator!

Other than that, I really like him!

As I read Part II, I couldn't help but feel it was the usual from the hometown press: "Old fired regime, bad; new regime great." (Until they get fired, that is, and then they were awful too.) As I got to the epilogue, though, I had to credit Shulman for his candor, though he's Captain Obvious of course with the "we don’t know how the Billy Napier tenure is going to wind up," but he's correct in pointing out how much value Napier is placing on things like attention to detail and players being held accountable. And like all of us here, Napier apparently believes recruiting is a 24/7/365 activity.

My main issue with Napier is that he's too nice. Too much the businessman. He doesn't hate GA or FSU or UT. Those are just games on a schedule to him. Games his process should handle, same as if we were playing Samford. I miss having a coach who actively hated our rivals and would go out of his way to not only beat them, but humiliate them in the process.

I was going to ask if Saban, unquestionably the best college coach in recent decades, if Saban hates his rivals given he feels his 'process' should beat everyone. But, in consideration, I think he simply hates everyone. There are no rivals except every damn team on his schedule each year.

I'd love to have the 'humiliate your rivals' feel back to things, but I'd accept beating everyone all the time as a good enough second.
