Lewis is projected to be a top 4 draft pick in 2020
Yes, and without a post presence it's nearly impossible to be successful from the 3 pt line...White is a decent coach, but without talent it is difficult to be a success.
Lewis is Beal basically, but is probably the best overall defender in the class. His shot isnt up to the standard of Beal, but it has gotten to the point it is a big asset this year and going forwardSo is Lewis a lot better than K.Allen was when he first arrived. How well rounded has Allen's skills grown under White? Boy, do i miss Chiozza's launching speed.
And way more athletic than BealLewis is Beal basically, but is probably the best overall defender in the class. His shot isnt up to the standard of Beal, but it has gotten to the point it is a big asset this year and going forward

Only thing we can do is see how White does with top talent. If it's the same, he has to go. If it's a great team, but then he has a problem when they leave due to not recruiting at the same level, he has to go. If he can have success with top talent and recruit for their departure and still succeed, then he will stay. This is my primary concern. Everyone is counting on this incoming class to solve our problems and I am not sure that is realistic. There are obvious coaching flaws in place that players can’t overcome and chances are they won’t be around long enough to make a real difference anyway

That’s why every year has a new recruiting class.
Payne is a top 40 player and top 10 center next year. But he's more of a banger and a rim runner. Not really someone well be able to toss it down low to get a bucket though. I wonder if they'll go after a grad transfer big? Even though that's only a one year fix too.The problem as I see it is we do not have elite “go to” scorers. We have some guys who can get hot for a stretch but no sustainable scorers all game or game to game. We also do not have elite bigs. Stone is a great kid but has never really matched the early hype. He’s definitely not a banger. Allen is skilled but in a Kenny Boynton undersized shooting guard type of way.
Our future is Andrew, Locke and K. Johnson combining with the incoming studs. Others can fill some roles. Next big jump will come when we land an elite big. I think we are moving forward. White stays but must deliver on the court next season along with a 2nd straight strong class.
I'm seeing Pitino's name mentioned a lot in underground circles. Supposedly there is mutual interest, shocking as it may seem. We'll have to wait to see if there's truth to the rumor. I'm sure Billy D has given him an endorsement.
