When I was a young man playing sports, I was told sometimes you end up with bad refs. I was told by my coaches not to complain about the refs, just beat them too!

I must admit the only time I've seen a game intentionally called poorly was acc refs calling fsu's swindle at the swamp in 2003.

In college basketball the concern with refs has nothing to do with integrity, the problem is the impact that pressure can have on human behavior.

During my decades of following college basketball I have seen numerous examples every season where refs allow the crowd and the emotion to influence their judgement. These guys can’t resist the desire to be liked and they find themselves giving certain teams and coaches all the close calls.

If we hadn’t shat The bed in the last 3 minutes of the atm game or even if we did close it out incompetently but one of the final 2 shots had fallen, we would be going into this game on a huge winning streak as one of the hottest teams in the country. Instead we are back on the bubble and seen as a talented roster who are underachieving with little or no chance of winning this game. The margin for error is tiny if you want to be a contender. This is now one of the biggest games in Golden’s career whereas if we had finished in college station this would just be a gravy game and a loss wouldn’t have really mattered.

i think Bruce is sort of a mentor to Todd. Story in Sun said Auburn is best team in SEC right now..........6 10 guy is their stud. Hopefully our bigs can negate his impact. I want us to shoot well. Rebound like we can. I thought it would be on espn for sure but SEC network is better. I will not miss the beginning. I HATE how espn overlaps the gdmmm games.

I hate it too.
They insist on two hour windows for each game even though very few games they televise are completed in that timeframe.
Not to even mention overtime
