You're think because we only threw the ball 49 times and tried to run it 17 times that Trask couldn't get in a rhythm? He had over 400 yards and 4 TDs.Play calling on Mullen is a head scratcher. Seems like we can do whatever we want when Trask is allowed to Trask and get in a rhythm. I get "trying" to establish a run game. If it worked then it would make sense. When it doesn't it looks horrible. I get the feeling that Mullen wants to use all the play book so he wanders away from what is working. I'm okay with that in these games that we're gonna win no matter what. But I'd rather see Trask light it up and secure a Heisman. And we are going to have to throw it 80% versus bama and hope Delance learns how to play in the next two weeks.
Yes. Amazing that even out of rhythm he had 4 TD's and 400 yards. You're think because we only threw the ball 49 times and tried to run it 17 times that Trask couldn't get in a rhythm? He had over 400 yards and 4 TDs.
He threw a few that were off as I recall.
So what do you think a better mix would be? 60 passes and 8 runs?Yes. Amazing that even out of rhythm he had 4 TD's and 400 yards.
68 passes, 0 runs.So what do you think a better mix would be? 60 passes and 8 runs?
Sounds like a championship recipe. I nominate you as head coach for life.68 passes, 0 runs.
Good 4 u.Sounds like a championship recipe. I nominate you as head coach for life.
CDM is obviously not particularly concerned with sartorial matters - or scoring point or looking like a well-oiled offensive machine after 9 games. The goofy outfit is easy to forgive. Trying repeatedly to do something that you're just not good at (power running game) while neglecting something you are really, really good at (passing game) is both less forgivable and much less amusing. And another thing, CDM needs to get that Fugly jacket off. Even Chump wore a sweatshirt when it got cold.
He's not even the worst on this team.He might be the worst DB I've ever seen.

Totally agree, but what really worries me is this cold start, low energy BS that seems to have become the norm these last three games. I understand trying to improve in an area of weakness, but dicking around with plays that don't work has the effect of taking the air out of the offense as a whole. And there is no guarantee that you can just flip a switch and shift back into overdrive after 3 or 4 straight weeks of jerkin your gherkin. WTF?Play calling on Mullen is a head scratcher. Sad, but undeniably true. Our defense won’t slow down Bama even a little. Couple that with our inability to run against air and it doesn’t look promising.
Hell, if I start thinking about those two I never will get to sleep.Y’all are still sleeping on Putu and McWilliams
Are you saying they stressed the flats defender? ...or they're running a zone that doesn't cover that part of the field?
I didn't see if we ran a delayed blitz on that one. Did you?
